I'm Lisa. It's my daughter's second year on Shooting Stars. TRAVEL TRAVEL TRAVEL!!! BUT she loves it. They are like family. She has been on Galaxy and Cosmic Rays also. She started cheering in Pop Warner when she was 8. Good thing she can drive herself to the gym now. I'm broke, but she's happy and that's all that counts :) Now...if I could just get her to NOT lose her cheer gear. MOMMMMMMM!!!!! I CAN'T FIND MY (fill in the blank) and I have to go to cheering in FIVE MINUTES!!!!!

cheercoachz you my favorite cheer mom, besides mstealtoyou, hahaha, your so cool :)

But like said before, glad to see some normal parents here! :)

My name is Lisa and both of my daughters cheer for NJ HEAT. My 18 year old will be a super senior this year and cheer for their Senior 4 and Open teams...my 24 year old is on the Open team also. They have both been cheering since 2002 and love it! This will be the first year that they both cheer on the same team and I (along with their grandmother) cannot wait!

Hi Texasmom,

Love your mini's, if it's the same team, we saw them at cheersport last season when they were mini 1 and won. Good luck this season!

Yes that was us, 2 seasons ago. That was my little one's first year, she was on tiny's and the mini 1 team. That was definitely a memorable year and we absolutely loved Cheersport. We can't wait to go back!!

LOL, I was thinking the same thing when I read her post. If you ask my child, I am definitely not normal. She always says, "Mommy, you're funny." That's 5-year-old speak for "weird."

Oh, and you're saying the losing gear thing doesn't get any better with age? My child came out of her tumbling class a few weeks ago missing the bow in her hair and wearing only one shoe! I kindly told her to return to the gym and come back out when she is fully clothed again. :)

Seriously, how do kids lose their shoes at the gym? Do they not know that nfinities cost $35 per shoe...I mean come on.

tinytumblersmom, congratulations to your daughter for making lites! I had a hunch you were trying out for WC from your other posts and so I asked a friend of mine that was at their tryouts if she was there. It turns out that my friend based your daughter at tryouts. Can't wait to watch them compete junior coed! Good luck!

Hi Hi! Not new to the board but wanted to say hi! This will be my cp's 6th year in allstars. she is 10 and still loves it. I do too. She cheers for FAME Allstars in Virginia Beach! We did take 1 year away from FAME to support a friend of ours who opened their allstars gym back up but decided it just wasn't "home" for us. So I think we're a lifelong FAMEous Family. Well, until she decides she's done anyway lol. Welcome to the board new moms and dads!!!

Not new either but.....My name is Missy. I have 3 daughters. 1 super seniored out this past season. 1 is hurt and took a break last year who is 16. 1 who is 11 and having tryouts this weekend.

They cheer at CEA. Kernersville. We actually live in Kernersville. LOL 10 years and going strong. I think we have 8 or 9 years left if little bit stays with it.

Small cheer world... isnt it? lol

I'm Karen...been on here a while but don't post much.
We have been involved in cheer for 7 years. CheerTrix for 3 years and now FCA Gems for 4 years.
I have 4 girls that cheer. Tryouts aren't over but it looks like I will have 2 on Diamonds (lrg sr 5) and one on Turquoise (lrg jr 5).
My oldest daughter cheered for Azusa Pacific Univ. last year and they won NCA all girl div. 3! She wasn't thrilled with college cheer and would love to go back to all stars.

If any of you California moms/dads know of anyone that lives near Azusa (Pasadena, Glendora), she would love to be on an open team at an all star gym, but needs a ride! She would of course help with gas money. Thanks!

I was on the old board as well, but.....My CP is 9 and we are entering our 7th season- She has done Mini 1, Youth 2, 3 and 4 and this year is on Teal (youth5) at Stingrays.

9 and 7th year? My math tells me she started in diapers. That must have been impressive.
