they can't send 50% to finals, so I'd think USASF would have to send 2, meaning one of these teams would not compete in finals!
Would this be a correct assumption?

I don't think this has ever happened before. I know there has been a division with only one team in it before. But unlimited actually got up to 8 so they were able to take 4 to finals.they can't send 50% to finals, so I'd think USASF would have to send 2, meaning one of these teams would not compete in finals!

PACE competed in Int All Girl 6 a few years ago by themselves and took home the gold.I was wondering how this would play out too. Would the USASF cancel the division for worlds if there is only 3 teams? (I don't want them too, but I could understand why if they did)
haha i don't know about this one.. even with however many large senior teams there were this year, it was these 3 teams that brought all of the people in!I thought that the NACCC was recommending that the top ten in each division made finals, regardless of division size. This would insure that CEA/WC/MT were in finals even if there were only 3-4 teams. This would also effectively create an incentive for teams to even out the distribution of teams among divisions. (want to go large senior in 2011 - automatically in finals!)
This also means fewer total performances, which allows things like: more divisions in the Field House (maybe all of finals?), more warmup time, possibly more seat availability, & possibly easier/more fair judging of finals.
There would be downsides as well. If you are in a huge division, this could dramatically decrease your chances of performing the final day.
I actually don't know what came out of that recommendation - I am not in the loop on very many decisions like this about Worlds.
He was talking about the top 10 in each division. Not the fact that there are only 3 teams in large senior.haha i don't know about this one.. even with however many large senior teams there were this year, it was these 3 teams that brought all of the people in!
So that would still make 2 teams through to finals if they stay true to the 50% going through. I don't think all teams should make it through no matter how small the division is. If anything, I think it would make prelims as exciting as finals!According to the wiki, Charlotte Gold is large senior so that makes 4 teams!
Heard they're mediumwhat about marlins?
