i don't say certain things because i fear the admins will delete it. i don't say certain things because not everything i want to say is conducive to and representative of my program. now let me be jobless and see what happens..

and that's when you call me :D

...just confused as to why I was singled out...thats all...no biggie....ps Mamarazzi I am packing you in my checked bag for dallas...:)

Chalk it up to guilt by association...Not that it's right, but it certainly happens. Pretty jaded right now, in general. Where's BowCat with the rainbow-puking unicorn?
ETA: And thanks for taking me to Dallas!!! I can't wait to see where I go!!

Like someone mentioned earlier and something everyone should remember, there are children who read and post. I as a moderator expect adults to act like adults. We shouldnt have to delete posts especially coming from adults. So if your post was deleted then maybe you should take a good look at the content you are posting.

Look, they know when a post has the potential to go sour. They're nipping it in the bud, so that the drama doesn't unfold.

That's why they have the ability to just lock the thread.

If it's a personal issue bc a mod doesn't like someone I think that's a tad bit ridiculous. I don't know of a time where that's been the situation as far as I know, but I'd be curious to hear what the deleted response was.

Looks like someone's feelings got hurt. I understand that you want us to share our opinions but it's clear you're just looking for people to defend you. Admins are "admins" for a reason, if they want to delete any kind of post they should be able to, OR they wouldn't be...you'll never guess...admins! I've had my posts deleted before to....and what? I still made my bed that day had breakfast and had a great day :)

What a load of crap. Politics are always involved at some point. Just bc someone is chosen to be a mod doesn't automatically mean they will make a good one or won't make mistakes. To err is human. Most of the mods here seem pretty good...but I've seen a few instances I've questioned motives or suspected personal feelings have gotten in the way (not over something I've posted) of a decision. It happens.

Terms of Service and Rules | Fierce Board - We Talk Cheerleading

Those are the rules of the board.

It is regulated and it is the internet, but deleting posts are not against your freedom of speech. It is spelled out in the rules when you sign up (and in turn by registering) agree to.

As we are the longest surviving message board about cheerleading I tend to believe it is because of regulation. Whenever someone feels their rights are being impinged they will speak out, but this isn't about civil liberties on here. It is a close knit community and a lot of people share opinions they wouldn't dare share in person.

As for the poster who was banned she made comments on the sex life of a minor.

As for getting 'more' people to join the board it is already fairly popular as it is. We average about 15,000 people visiting a week (and will probably hit around 25,000 for Worlds). I am not concerned a few people won't come here because of the regulation.

I must have missed this...the initial thread that is.

Well right now I am particulary mad at this site and contemplating leaving since more than one thread of mine has been deleted. Not just the flyers on SE one

You didn't miss anything worth reading. Trust me. Although as to why not just lock the thread instead of deleting the post- sometimes a thread is perfectly good and people are being great EXCEPT for that one person who's trollin..why delete a whole, perfectly fine thread when you can just erase that one person's post? Like if people get crazy in the Videos thread- I'd figure it's much easier to just wipe out one poster's grossness than lock the whole thing. JMO..

this board is honestly the most regulated one that ive seen on the internet... thats why im not on as often as i use to be, i wish we could have freedom of speech here like many people have said. i know NUMEROUS people who wanna join the board but know that they cannot speak their opinion so they choose not to join.
but to be fair, it's also the only forum I've ever been on that I know for an absolute fact contains minors.

I'm just baffled on the shocker that this hasn't been deleted yet.....

It is actually the goal of the admins and moderators to delete only the posts that matter most to you. We really try extra hard to make sure when we do delete it is a personal blow to whoever's post was deleted.

The staff has reviewed it and that post really didn't mean that much to you... so we left it.
