whats been your favorite element from a CA routine that sticks out in your mind...
...mine is in Panthers '11 when the girls "backed it up" to"go blue go black go white"

what is the percentage of kids that have grown up and learned their skills in the gym on your higher level teams? I know there is a huge influx of talent that walks in the door every year so say for example a team like panthers how many girls learned their full at CA?

That is a very good question, actually. We don't really track that. On the teams I coach, there is a mix. Some are brand new this year, and some have several athletes well into double digits on the number of years they have been with us. I have one at has been on the exact same team (Wildcats) for ten years and and several that have been in he program for over 13 years. At least two, Ambrel & Britt, going into their 17th consecutive season, started with CA before several of their teammates were born.

I will ask around at the next few practices to get a better feel for that.

I just want to say that I love your program. Panthers and Cheetahs are two of my favorite teams. When I watch them the definitely have tons of swag loaded on top of tons of talent. If I ever moved to Texas I know which gym I would go to. I hope I get the chance to meet some of your kids at worlds. CHEER ATHLETICS=SWAG! :cheerathletics:

Do you own Dance Athletics as well? Does Dance Athletics practice at the same gym? Is Dance Athletics as well known in the dance world as Cheer Athletics is in the cheer world? Do any of athletes do both?

They are part of the same organization and practice at the same place as the cheer side. Cheer has an 18 year head start on dance, so I wouldn't say dance is as well known as cheer - yet. We do have a few cheer-dance crossovers, but most of them only do dance.

Just out of curiosity, can an athlete compete at both the dance and cheer worlds or does the crossover rule apply?

If you are on a cheer team at Worlds, then you may not compete on any other team, cheer or dance. I believe dance allows within-dance cross competes.

I heard that Panthers might not be coming to Liverpool to Jamfest Europe, please say it isn't so, please.

The "paid" trip to Europe was not nearly as "paid" as we initially thought. It is a matter for the parents to decide if they want to fundraise/write a check to cover the balance of the cost of the trip. The amount JAM is/was giving would be about 1/3 of the total cost for just hotel/airfare. It would be a neat trip, but covering the majority of the cost ourselves was not something we were expecting to have to deal with.

You know this saddens me, for your athletes as well as all the ones here who eagerly followed The Majors to see who they would meet in June. I understand this is something completely out of your control and not something you anticipated at all. In fact it leaves quite a bitter taste in my mouth where Jam Brands are concerned. They advertised the winners getting a 'paid' trip to the UK, not a partial-paid, or an assisted paid trip, a PAID one. That alone tends to suggest that all the travel/accommodation/food requirements will be covered.

Jam Brands are benefitting from having your athletes over here as it has been extensively advertised as the main feature of jamfest, and I tell you this - not a training session goes by in my gym where the girls don't get excited about 'the Americans' coming over ;) In a way I hope you turn round to them and tell the to 'sod off' that you're not coming, but then I and all the athletes here would be terribly sad to miss you - but we wouldn't blame you AT ALL.

im shocked to hear this! they are advertising a reciprocal trip to a UK level 5 team too. We are entering for allgirl 5 for the first time this year and my kids are busting their butts because their dream is to be even half as good as panthers! they were so excited to see your girls and to dream of even considering winning the trip to the majors 2013 as we have never been able to afford competing over seas im so disheartened to hear it isnt what was being promoted/promised.

I hope you get the chance to come over here someday! you have so many fans and i know a certain bunch of girls who would do ANYTHING to see your team!
