The things that have been mentioned to me are adding back standing fulls (not doubles) and allowing non-twisting bounding skills before and after doubles, so you could whip double whip double, but not double double.

Was there anything in there about standing tumbling to doubles? Like two and three to doubles? Thought it was crazy they removed standing to double skills as well.

Not that was mentioned to me, but I wasn't having a conversation with anyone official.

I could support no standing doubles and no double doubles, I could even support that at least 2 standing bhs should be before doubles (standing) but I still want to see the research that says why. I've heard more conspiracy theories about this than UFO's and Bigfoot combined!

I agree with this. Sounds like a great compromise...

Blind landings are much more dangerous, but for some reason that hasn't been addressed. I still find it funny that colleges can do 1 1/2's but not doubles.

Exactly...So many things in our sport that are more dangerous than the skills being banned...synchro tumbling for one, baskets and pyramids another, and God only knows what tumbling passes people will create within the rules that will cause just as many issues as the ones they want to ban. Just goes to show their decision was not well thought out...

I could be wrong but I don't see anything being released tonight. If you think about it, what they put out on the 28th had graphics etc and couldn't have been prepared on the fly.
They may decide things tonight but after the last release you can be sure that they will not put anything out until its perfectly worded and been reviewed from all angles etc.

John Butler Gabi just made my night. She's hysterical.
LOL, she made me laugh that night. I will reserve my judgement on this topic until after the final decision is made, but I truly hope USASF will find a better way to deal with this problem. Seems to me that banning these types of skills sends the wrong message and ultimately will hurt the sport. I would prefer credentialing as I believe it to be a better way of approaching the safety issue without damaging the growth of the sport. But, as I said, we'll see what the final changes are first.

the way it should have been done in the first place....

Just a question to all that have posted on this...are the banned skills the ONLY rule "changes" people are objecting to? Because I have a problem with several others....the 50%+1 rule, the "image guidelines", etc. Just curious. There seems to be a lot of noise, but ONLY on the tumbling restrictions. I think MANY of these "rules" were not thought through. I hope more than just the banned skills were discussed at the meetings thus far.
