They weren't just nagging from the side. They were actually on the cheer floor telling their kids what to do. At my cp's gym, parents do NOT set foot in the actual gym. If you want to watch, park your butt in the parent room.

Ok. Here goes. This is AWFUL. Not only is this gym and it's coaching staff unprofessional, they're not safe. I have a BIG problem with pushing a kid to do a bhs when she is very clearly not ready to do it.
Yelling and screaming is NOT teaching. And don't even get me started on the parents being all up in the gym and sideline coaching.

And tryouts were a joke. Did they really do a cheer??? My twitter feed about it all was better than this show.

amen. I like the part where she's complaining to her husband about the flyer whose never flown before!!!! Um, you're the coach....here's a thought.... TEACH HER TO FLY!

What legitimate gym would allow a camera crew to show all this negativity? I will say that moms like this are at EVERY single gym in the country. How they are handled is a completely different story.

The most entertaining thing about this was watching it with my fierce 12 y/o junior 4. Her commentary was priceless. My favorite comment from her: in response to "if you fall again I'm taking you out" was, "um, hello....who says it was her fault?! She might have janky bases!" (my cp is a base). You go girl she's a team player even when it's not her team....and let's all give praise that this isn't her team.

Found on their website that Alana and Torrann are both on Junior Orange. Torrann is also on Junior Black. Cassadee is on Senior Silver and Junior Black. I am thoroughly confused

So youth silver is supposed to be level 2... but they showed the best tumblers from the team doing more than just bhs? So the rest of the youthies trying out did what just bhs? To be only level 2? So I assume they showed the better tumbling to spice the show up? Or these were just the "cheer moms" signed up to be shown. I am confused about this whole youth silver team being the prestigious team to be on if its only level 2. When some have higher skills. When clearly they know there is higher tumbling than a bhs. It also seemed like the tryout results had a lot of people show up to look ...maybe to give the illusion the gym is bigger in numbers than it is..because usually results are posted online if there is a website and if posted at the gym for the purpose of the show it looked like whole families were showing up lol to look for their name on youth silver!
