All-Star Maryland Marlins Merging With Maryland Twisters

I don't think it's going to be a huge ordeal if there are people who don't want to make the transition to twisters. Like other people have said not a whole lot of athletes are actually from the glen burnie area...I used to drive an hour and a half to get to Glen Burnie because it was worth the drive for me and I loved cheering there. If parents or athletes don't like the gym for whatever reason then I'm sure they can find another gym to cheer at.
I hope the transition goes well and kudos to Tara! She is an amazing coach and an amazing gym owner and I can't wait to see all their teams compete this season!

Emotions aside, businesses of any sort only merge out of necessity. In light of recent gym closings in the area, this may have been the best option for providing athletes a permanent home.

While everyone's admiration for the underdog makes a good story, it in no way pays the bills.

Honestly though, how realistic is this option? I don't spend a lot of time in Maryland, so I don't know where other gyms are. Are there other options close by or is it Twisters or nothing?

Hello. ECM All Stars (East Coast Majestic), while small is nearby. And we are pretty nice gym too.

I think the closest gym in that area is V.I.P athletics that is in Baltimore. Dream, Cheer Thunder, ECM, Nitros(?), Spirit Force ,and Crimson heat are at least 45 minutes away.

ECM and Cheer Thunder are about 10 minutes away.

Thanks Tinkerbella!!! That was a very nice compliment. We have A LOT of gyms in Maryland. And just want to say, ECM has always had a good relationship with both the Marlins and the Twisters; it will all work out the way it is supposed to and we wish everyone involved the best of luck this season and in the future!

I heard something about Nitros opening a location in Columbia and that Jubael from Maryland Marlins will be running it.

Not sure how many coaches they had to begin with, but the ones who were at Twisters last night were offerred coaching positions at Twisters...

Oh good! My Sr 3 CP will probably be getting evaluated this week. Good to hear the Coaches were placed too. lol. We just moved from NJ and MD seems just as crazy.

woah. i haven't heard this and i'm at the first gym! haha thanks for the update. maybe i'll be able to confirm for sure once i look around
