When I search for the ceacoach profile on my mobile, it says the user has been banned. Perhaps that is why we have not heard from her.

Interesting. So spreading on this board whatever kind of information that one can find posted on the internet is okay, but defending oneself, however misguided due to the emotion, is cause for banning.

As long as we know the standards.

I'm not going past registration at CheerSport on this one Fernando, but I respect your passion and willingness to tie things together. I guess we should stop talking now that we have responded to the weekend's unfortunate thread and said our piece, at least I have and let's all hope this gets worked out in an acceptable fashion to everyone because I see a circular firing squad forming.

I am simply trying to determine what "exhibition" is being defined as. When my kid exhibitions, she goes in, does her thing, and there are no scores tabulated and we aren't included in the awards ceremony. It appears as if in this instance exhibition is being used to describe competing against no other teams, which is inaccurate if your team was registered in a division, scored, and announced as a winner. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I agree with Starship here . We have told everything that we can possibly can about the situation . The rest is above our pay grade . I am going to resist anymore post on this subject as I feel we have shared what was needed to be shared . Looking forward to moving on to a new chapter .

Can anyone tell me who is responsible for the sanctioning/punishment handed down? For this situation and situations like this in general? Is it the sanctioning committee (I'm assuming the domestic one, not international lol)? Is it the rules committee? Is it somebody else?

I only ask, because I'm curious as to how this works in an industry where so many people cross on to so many committees and groups, there has to be some overlap?

I think this speaks to a greater problem about cheerleading, not just this. When there are so few teams in so many divisions, but you can't combine. Or you have one other competitor. National champion, competed against nobody. Do you still technically win, even though it IS an exhibition? Should that count as actual competition even though there WAS no competition?

I can only speak to the Cheersport situation . I am not aware of any of the others that are being referred to so I will not speculate . I agree that it was bending the rules BUT it was not some attempt to cheat to win etc.... Again if it was an attempt to cheat why would she be on all four rosters ? In hind sight it was wrong and there is NO disputing that BUT it was not cheating in my opinion . Now if she were not age appropriate or she was not on all the rosters then SHAME on us but that was not the case . Bottom line is an 11 year old girl did a fourth team at Cheersport and that team was not even competing the situation was given the blessing of the EP . Lesson learned here is never do it again no matter who gives you the green light . A fine was paid and alot of hard feelings have been put in play . I just hate that it got to this point because for those of you that may not know the Popes .... They are super people who put their heart and soul into CEA and this industry in general . I have a little girl that loves them to death and she is not alone . This post is to only share this side of the story .. I do not expect everyone to agree with it but I felt like it needed to be out there .
So we our hoping she is 12 now since she is on SE or is that another rule we are bending???

When my teams exhibition, we get scored (or at least comments). We also get a plaque or a small exhibition trophy. We sit at awards with everyone else and get mentioned for our exhibition (that includes tiny's, mini's, Parent Teams and International teams, in my experience). Some even give out extras depending on the competition. I M.C. for a competition and I believe EVERYONE walks out with a Participation Ribbon, Medal around the neck, and some form of a trophy. Winners and Grand take home Banners as well.

@ Mo-Lissa . Thanks for asking . She is now 12 and we even have papers to prove it . Believe me we will BEND a few copies and have them readily available at each comp this season .

No problem I just keep seeing eleven year old on several posts....

All people that I could find that posted the link or the article on here are banned. There are 3 more that I straight deleted that I cannot remember who they were. Anyone who has threatened to sue the board as well is also banned. Sorry for the delay but one certain individual had me too pissed off to the situation to fix it. Now everyone who should be banned is banned.

StarshipTrooper I appreciate you responding to me. I'm also glad you and CEADAD05 posted because I was aware of a lot these facts but didn't know how to post it since it was a result of numerous conversations I have had since this weekend.

I wasn't sure where to consolidate the whole story, but it has generally been brought here so here are the facts:
1. A child performed 4 times at CHEERSPORT. Three were competition and one was exhibition. There is no instance of anyone out of the age grid for the team they were on or anything related to a bid.
2. A complaint was filed, USASF investigated, you all know the result.
3. Someone posted a MALICIOUS, SLANDEROUS blog about this and some very personal information
4. Someone started a thread pointing to these circumstances. That person alluded to the accusations, but included ages and bids to bait the rest of the readers. There are clear indications that this person had intent to do this since Thursday.
5. That same person posted a screencapture of the malicious blog...on purpose. . after it had been deleted TWICE by moderators, clearly with intent to ensure people got a chance to see it.
6. There are legalities involved now since USASF officialy sanctioned someone so don't expect to get a statement form Cheersport or CEA. The only statement I expect is a statement from the USASF Disciplinary Committee or Sanctioning Committee as is there policy. I will attempt to get that posted.

StarshipTrooper or anyone else please correct any inaccuracies I have posted.

This entire situation pains me a great deal. It has caused a number of people that I have lots of respect for to say things that possibly will permanently damage if not destroy their personal and professional relationships. If people had waited for facts before passing judgement the thread would have never gotten out of hand the way it did. "If this"..."If that" kind of speculating turns into rampant rumors like that thread did because people start to believe those speculations.

THESE ARE THE BULLYING TYPES OF ACTIONS THAT CAUSE IRREVERSEABLE ACTS IN KIDS. It happens in adults too.

I am formally asking imrichhowboutu be banned now. People have been banned for stirring the pot, I'd say knowingly and repeatedly spreading malicious slanderous acts of the type that he did is at least as bad as that.

Courtney, if you read this I am terribly sorry I didn't do more that night to stop happened. In hindsight I could have downvoted the thread and asked others to do the same so it would have automatically been shut down. I'm hurt right now I didn't.

Everyone please base your judgement of the Popes and CEA on only the facts, not any of the crap you hear. They are great people and that is a great program, but really no one deserves any more or any less.

(sorry for the long post. I had to get that out)
Parts of your post made me cry because it is so true. Just saying....

and on that note, I know I would personally love it if we could all move on with our regularly scheduled summer programming and let this whole issue rest in whatever peace it's able to find. I don't think there is one iota of this that can be beaten to death anymore than it has.
