And lets remember here people, I never said WHO'S GONNA WIN WORLDS?! I just want to know your opinions on each team's 1st performance. Whether they went full out, watered down, or their mother wasnt present that day, this is based solely on "THEIR FIRST PERFORMANCE."

First performance to first performance...I think SE won. But again, Panthers actually COMPETED a full out routine within the time limits given whereas SE stopped their routine, went to pyramid, and started again and didn't do a dance. I'm not saying they would have not done as good as they did had they had an entire routine with music beginning to end, but for comparison purposes, that's what we have to compare. I have to give it to SE, however, for coming out so strong so early. Props to them. I can't wait til NCA when the REAL showdown takes place. I'll be sitting front row of the coaches section!! :)

Oh Lordy:: It's gonna be a long season! :)
Let's compare when both put a full routine on the mat... This is apples vs oranges... ;) that is all

From what I've seen (panthers, SE, and a walk through of SS choreo) senior elite is definitely the team to beat. I'd give stars a slight edge in standing tumbling and choreo, panthers might have an advantage in running tumbling if you factor in synchro tumbling pretty heavily, but I'd wager that none of the top 4 will have a huge advantage in tumbling, and senior elites stunts are definitely ahead of the pack anyway you look at it. Not just with the skills, but the overall impression. Making it so much fun to watch should help there score greatly. I honestly think everything is close enough that senior elite can't afford any mistakes though, all these teams are just packing in so many skills that it will be super super close.

After watching both, I felt like SE was over-doing the crazy stunting, did i love their stunts? YES. But, it's almost as if they tried to cramp everything thought of into a pyramid. It's just too busy. I am a die hard panthers fan, and of the gym itself, won't deny that. But I do think that panthers seemed to look a lot more energetic. I love when they has the tumbling passes that they do straight up aerobequst (I can't spell it right for the life of me, sorry!) then right back down to a unique dismount, in a ripple. It was nice to see after soo much tumbling. I'm forever a panther fan :cloud9:

A lot of people keep saying this but I actually like their stunts and don't feel like it's overkill. Sure, they can max out a scoresheet with less, but like some have said, because of the sheer amount of talent in this division, winning very well could come down to choreography and creativity. I like that they're being innovative and original. I think it's impressive watching everything that's happening at different times. It definitely catches your attention and makes you want to watch again.

Even though I'm a proud member of the teal army, I was very much looking forward to seeing some great competition from the panthers. However, besides their creative standing tumbling choreography, I was highly disappointed with their performance last night, especially their stunting. I agree that senior elite is waaaay ahead of where they are at this point. However, the judges always seem to like cheer athletics so I'm sure it will be an interesting competition season.

I don't agree with this statement. Usually in a cheering routine when you do more it is more difficult. SE has two sections of tic-tocs and full ups when they don't need two (correct me if I'm wrong) I think that would be so much more difficult to do. I think maybe you meant that because you have more, doesn't mean it's going to score higher meaning you've already maxed out and the routine has got more in it than needed. Idk if I'm making sense or not :p

As to Panthers, it was clearly watered down so it is hard to judge at this point in the season, but I did some scary doubles  People say that Senior Elite has weaker tumbling out of the large senior division, but to be honest I have never seen SE throw scary, under-rotated doubles and in the end it comes down to execution. Just look what happened at worlds 2012. jmo.

I wonder why a judge would like Cheer Athletics?
