All 5 paid teams that have bids so far are coed teams. For discussion's sake - do you think that's fair? Should the bids go to the highest scoring team? Or should some be reserved for all-girl teams? Some competitions reserve a paid bid for a coed and all-girl team. It's much more likely that coed teams are going to outscore an all-girl team.

I agree...or they better max out how many total full paid bids can go to coed. LOL

It kind of feels like the all-girl teams don't get the paid bids until after the best coed teams get one.

And, on the Varsity scoresheet, for level 6, there's an extra point of collegiate coed stunts that an all-girl team has no shot of getting. Some competitions, like NCA, are using percentage of perfection with 1 point less for AG6, but that's not a guarantee, and it's just another example of all-girl teams losing out to coed ones.

I agree, event producers should give 1 out to all girls and another to coed, not highest score. What makes an all girl level 5 team want to attend specific events if they know alot of the coed teams will take it early in the season.

I don't know.. I've seen many an all girl team out score coeds it can and does happen, I can't stand cheer tech comps but if that's how they want to give them out, it's up to them. I've seen all kinds of scenarios where the way an EP gives out bids can be an advantage/disadvantage for a particular division. It all goes down to who actually shows up for those bids for each comp.

Fab 5 had the highest score of the level 5s and got grand champs ..they deserved that paid bid, so did Nitros.. CJA looked amazing they should be proud. They will be a force to be reckond with at worlds .. I see a top 5 from them this yr

I'm not talking about Cheer Tech specifically, just comps in general. I just thought it was interesting that all of the paid bids thus far are coed. Yes, all girl teams can outscore coed teams, but it doesn't happen very frequently, and certainly not anywhere close to half of the time. All-girl teams are definitely at a disadvantage when competing against coed teams for bids, especially full paid.

On a different note...LOVING Nitros new style, new uniforms, music, cleanliness and difficulty. Waiting for Nitros to come back from that really good allgirl team a few years back. What brought on all the changes this season?
