Shoot. That's how my mom has picked her favorite football team for years. Never lived in California but lemme tell you she was a tried and true 49ers fan every year Montana suited up :)
Never lived I'm CA either but my wife became a huge Niners fan in same time frame and to this day I am positive it is because of Joe Montana as well.

So....last season my middle twisted her ankle and was in an air boot for quite a few weeks.......6 or 7. (She didn't hurt herself cheering mind you, she took the dog to potty and he ran under her feet and she was trying not to step on him and twisted her ankle.....LMAO) Anyway at competition's she would wear the boot until we were through warmups and then change into her shoe....then change back into boot after she came off the floor. After she competed on Saturday we were sitting in the food court and I must have taken some stuff out of my bag and her shoe apparently dropped out unbeknownst to me. Next evening when she's looking for it it's gone. She borrows a shoe to get through her performance because I'm almost certain it's going to show up in lost and found at the hotel but we didn't have time for that before she competed. Monday.........I checked everywhere.......called everywhere.........no shoe.

My Confession of a Cheermom is this..........7 weeks later when she no longer needed the air boot anymore I made her compete in it anyway at Battle at the Beach because I refused to buy another pair of cheer shoes for the kid who was aging out after that competition. So there she was......cheer shoe on 1 foot.......air boot on the other foot.......even though she didn't need it. LMAO

4). I rarely stay at the same hotels as the team and it bums cp out. a: i find the cheapest room within my comfort level or use points b: if i'm spending two full days with people, i don't want to spend two full nights with them, too. c: i do not want to see or hear the drunken antics of the other moms and/or coaches.
I can't get away with this last one as much as I would love to. Our gym requires anyone under 18 to be in a room with a parent and cp would flip if I was not staying in same hotel as her. But we get our own room because I need my own space after spending all day with everyone. I can only be social up to a point.

Confession: I never book the "team hotel" if I can help it. I use Marriott or hhonors for the points and generally try to stay away from the team hotel because it seems to me the drama mamas are always at the "team hotel" since that would be the hotbed for gossip.

I ain't got time for that....

...or for 6-7 year olds tumbling down the hallway with identifiable gym t-shirts past midnight and squealing like the slumber party it is.

Girl! You know who it is...I gave the clue!! Ha!!!! I really was rooting for all of the teams, but you know how you give an advantage to the cute quarterback? Or at least I do. But to answer yoir question: it is alleged that it is possibly the co-ed division. (Smiley face!!)

Well crap that could have been TG, CA, or CEA...Have you seen our male coaches? And I have a particular fondness for Hispanics  Oddly I haven't seen a picture of the coach you're referencing..lol

She's right, he is a cutie.

Another Mom Confession. I confess that I went out of town to Vegas and didn't buy 1 present before I left. (Didn't order any either) Got home.......slept........Woke up Tuesday morning and went........."OMG MY CHILDREN WON"T HAVE ANY PRESENTS" I have been mad shopping this week and online shopping. Some of which won't be here until around Jan 1st. At least their joy will last for more than 1 day when the packages keep coming and coming and coming. Bad Mom award right here. LMAO

Ha! Yes, I have the same fondness!! :p Well, yes, this person I guess is technically a coach, but here are the clues: "Poppy," "they were the Tea," "Beautiful Wife," and "Owner" I will add,"I gave in to the temptation." ;) You absolutely know who it is, you just have to give it a second thought!!

I will make sure to take a sneak peak at your coaches, but must admit that I feel extremely guilty and quite the cougar when I check out the International Coed 6 teams, convincing myself that those young men are at least 25!! (Sad, but true!!)

Yes, he is!!! :p

Don't worry! By Christmas evening, most of the excitement wears off. What you may think is the Bad Mom award, will turn into Major Cool Mom award once those presence start rolling in day after day.

I know who you are talking about, but I don't understand the poppy clue

Ohhhhh! It is the same person, lol! Whoops!

It's ok... Our younger coaches are pretty attractive too...you can pretend they're 25 ;) (Well some of them are I think)

We grew up Episcopalian, and when I was a little girl, when there were not many gifts under the tree for us, mom told us that the Wise Men had not yet come to offer their gifts to the baby Jesus. Since Episcopalians observe the arrival of the Magi, we believed her! It wasn't until later I understood that they just couldn't afford to buy everything all at once - there were six of us. We even had the figurines under the tree with the Wise Men way off from the manger scene, and everyday, I think my mom moved them a little closer. We would be so excited to watch them get closer and closer to the baby Jesus, knowing that we might get more presents just like He did! January 6th is 3Kings day! Better know as the Epiphany.

You're right.........they have plenty to open and then every day when the UPS guy pulls up there will be more and more. My kids are spoiled rotten. So is my dog. Mom confession. My hubby and I might have words about how spoiled they are. But I win because well........I just do. LOL
