and how are we so sure that all of these teams are going to be absolutely perfect with zero issues at NCA/Worlds when they all go against each other? There hasn't been a perfect performance by any of these teams yet. i do agree that love is not the best in this division, but that doesn't mean that i'm not their fan and am not rooting for them 100%. to be a first year gym and a first year team in this division (of all divisions!) i'd say they're doing pretty awesome. i mean, they're being talked about aren't they?

nobody knows how any of these teams will perform. they could all be flawless, or they could all have serious mistakes. now i know nobody wants to win because another team in their category totally screwed up, but hey, that's cheerleading. if you can't hit your routine, then don't be mad when the team that's on your heels comes out on top.

i LOVE this division, respect all teams in it, and love watching every single team perform. but as much as cheerleading is about your skills and difficulty, it's also about consistency and hitting your routine.

I give CT major props for coming into the division and fielding what looks to me to be a great and highly competitive team. When we started in the late 90s Cheer Tyme was a top gym with top teams and was putting great routines on the floor before a lot here were born or ever saw cheerleading at this level. We met their staff at WCA our first competition with Cheer Extreme, my girls were on Junior Silver for their first competition with CE. If they are the same people they were super nice. And we came in 3rd, CT won, but they called it out backwards and we just about passed out until we all recognized the announcer got the results backwards. Best of wishes to them, their staff and extended families in these competitions.

Cheer Tyme is not a first year gym. Just sayin. They have been around for a REALLY long time. New division for them, yes, at least in a long while. But they are not some new gym taking on the beast that is Large Senior AG, they are quite an established gym.

Yes I agree, they're a very well established program. I just meant that as far as this being their first year as a brand new gym in va, not pa, I think they're doing pretty well. IMO. No, I don't think there's a chance of them being at the very top of this division, but I do think what they've put out there is something they should be very proud of.

But CT Love isn't out of the VA gym, it is out of the PA gym, which has been around for like 15 years. I'm not dissing this team or saying it's a new division for them (at least in several years), but that's like saying Rays Peach is a new gym just because they are fielding a large senior team at NCA in many years. I think NCA could be very interesting, depending on who hits best....

They are out of the Virginia gym. Yes, I can't wait to see all the teams in this division finally all together too!

Hm, well on the NCA schedule is says they are from Mechanicsburg, PA. That's where I was getting the info.

I think if every single team in that division hits, Love will be in 6th. Unfortunately, with the amount of skills jam packed in every routine, it's rare that every team will hit, and that leaves wiggle room within the division and room for everyone to move up/down. I would want nothing more than every single one of them to hit at NCA and Worlds so there is a true winner and rankings, but it's extremely rare.

and that's where the risk vs reward comes in. Love's (and Peach, though they've been adding in more skills each competition) stunts aren't as difficult as the others. But because they're a little bit easier, they hit pretty consistently and they're clean. the others have a harder time hitting consistently, but if they hit, they'll win. If they don't hit, Love and Peach will move up, potentially breaking top 3.

For a first year team, both love and peach have surprised me quite a bit and i'm excited for future seasons when they start to find their "groove" in large senior and become serious contenders.

That's the point I was trying to make but you said it much better haha :D thanks!

I think if Peach keeps going the way they're going, they could place top three or four easily. For now, it's all up in the air. I pray everyone hits.
