So, say I videotaped my child's performance (if I had one) and put it on youtube for family members to see it... This SE people would come and make me take it down? That sucks :(

That is correct

AND

Youtube would give you a copyright strike as well.. You have to watch this lame video on copyright laws and take a test befoer you can post again..

You could password protect it and give out the password. I believe you'll be safe then, but don't quote me on that.

If you don't make it public and only share the link with family members you're probably fine. But if you post it here, I'm sure they'll find it and get it taken down.

When a video is uploaded before its processed and available for viewing it cross references them.
For example SE Video has a product under copyright protection. They provide them with it and if something uploaded by another user is uploaded and matches any of that YouTube alerts you and removes it. Otherwise that's also where all the ads on people videos come from.
That way the entity who owns the copyright makes money off of it.
I hope I made sense just now. Lol

Only if you posted a link that everyone can see. If you make it private, and used generic hashtags, it would be a little difficult.

Newest video from JTV. "The Work Is Worth It"

I wish there was a way, that every time I don't want to get out of bed and work out, this video would play. I like seeing practice videos like this..we see them working hard, but we don't often see them out of breath or tired like that, so we put them on a pedestal as though they're never hurt, sore, or exhausted.
