I'm hoping that they'd have a tent over the floor because you never know when it will rain in Florida...
Yeah I'm thinking that they will have a tent like the "Varsity Arena" they use for High School and All Star Nationals. It's just a huge tent with a floor, floor seats & stands and two floors to warm up on in the back. No bathroom though so that sucks.

to cover the floor would block out the view for most of the spectators and covering the spectators in case of rain would probably be a challenge... baseball fields aren't exactly set up for rectangular stages to go in the middle. this should be interesting...

I seen this happen to a gym in Indy back in 2010, if I'm correct. A large gyms senior 5 coed had definitely "threw" some L6 power tumblers on their team that weekend. I am not one to ever "call a team or gym out", but the crowd went quiet as one of the "power tumblers" threw some major illegals. There was a huge uproar because Jamfest did not disqualify the team! Shame!

I've never seen a team get disqualifed for illegal skills, you just get legality deductions. So they could still place technically and even win depending on how the other teams do. (We had an illegal skill in the pyramid once that cost us 10 points but we still got first place.)

I watched a hockey game at a baseball field once (fenway park). It. was. miserable and the sightlines were horrible.

This is ridiculous.

Not a question, but just something random and funny :) (WARNING: adult language!)

cheer coaches be like...

It's like someone lived inside my head.

Particularly with the after practice "Hey I know you've been here since 3 and your family is at home starving to death, but I have a really great idea for team gifts, we did these little baggies with pom poms on them when I cheered 6th grade back in 1974...."

Me: *blank stare*

And the "new parent says their daughter is L5" thing. Except in my case it was usually "swears daughter is ready for L2."

Mom: "You would not believe how solid Suzie's BHS is now! She's been taking privates for 3 months. Her private coach says she is definitely ready for L2."

*child throws scariest BHS, eats mat, and causes me to fear paralysis.*

Who has she been taking privates with who thinks THAT constitutes level 2? Is he visually impaired?

I had to do a fire drill at work today and one of my more difficult residents hit me in the face ):

And he was naked and refused to come to the front yard and so I failed the drill :/.

Everyone totally understands so it's not like I'm in trouble but I'm such a perfectionist and it sucks to be the only one that failed.

I'm competing there...no bathroom sos

So let me get this right? You are competing in the most prestigious cheer competitions in the World and athletes don't have their own bathrooms???? That sounds like something that need to be rectified. I mean as a paying spectator, I wouldn't be thrilled about having to hike to a bathroom, but as an athlete it is crazy

What division competed very last, last year at worlds. I can't imagine it being large all girl or large coed.
See, I think it would be large all girl and large coed because those are traditionally the two divisions that are crazy overcrowded in the Milk House. By moving it out to the baseball field...more people can watch.

They are moving the performances due to limited capacity for spectators. This tent/stands scenario sounds even worse. Certainly that can't be their plan, can it ?

The Varsity Arena or the tent is miserable, Small Varsity was in there for HS nationals and it was cold and freezing, did not help that they stood in the hole for about 20 minutes and got dripped on from it raining outside. Not prestigious. It sucked.

Ooo yikes. The only time I competed in there it was nice and sunny. They don't do anything at Indiana Jones for Worlds, right?

That would seem to make sense! but I am wondering about their TV show and i dont think they would want to worry about moving the TV access out side. Im sure it will be what ever works out the cheapest for USASF/varsity.
