They changed all of the senior coed divisions in the 2011-2012 season. Small coed is the same as small limited was, medium coed is kinda sort of like a mix halfway between large limited and semi-limited, and they also got rid of the "unlimited" coed and that is now large coed with a limit on the number of boys. That was also the year they added the medium all girl 5 division. There are days where I miss the old coed divisions.

Oh that Purple routine at NCA....so bad. I think they had something like 11 falls on Day 2. Terrible. They looked great at Worlds though. Their pyramid is still one of my favorites. There was a lot of drama about the whole merger/purple/Jamie. It was crazy.

WHOA WHOA WHOA HOLD THE PHONE You people really didn't know about Georgia closing and Stingray Fallstars and the like? It was a classic! Their cheer the next two years, "We heard you missed us, and now we're back! Pride of the South in the purple and black. Georgia!" And that was my last year in allstar cheer. -____-

Back in 2008, I didn't even know cheerleading existed (but to be honest, I have known for a while that Georgia merged with Stingrays and reopened a year after that, I just hadn't heard about any specifics).

How can they take this moment from them? How can the few celebratory seconds following the mere minutes of a routine that took months of practice and years of dedication to build? This is a moment of accomplishment, of discipline, and of teamwork. This moment is one that few people will ever get to experience. Do they not deserve to cherish it? This moment, this feeling is one that has been earned, not just by the girls on the mat, but by their parents, coaches, siblings, teachers, doctors, trainers, friends, tutors, counselors, and extended family. I like that they got rid of all the coed divisions and replaced them with Small, Medium, and Large. It's more simplified and just seems more practical. I do kinda miss unlimited coed
