exactly - they will be running on about 5 hours sleep if they are lucky. Even Med coed is last on Sunday and first on Monday, but at least "first" is at noon (which makes me question why they aren't using Jostens in the morning). So I'll vent now. I think it is completely unfair that the two most popular divisions are shipped out to a baseball field for their finals. I just don't see how you can make an ideal competition environment out there if it rains or is hot and humid. I would rather see USASF tell all the teams that don't make it out of prelim's "thanks for coming - if you want to see any of the semi final and final competition you either need to buy a spectator ticket to get inside or watch it outside on the jumbotron." I don't care that everybody gets a bid, but I think if any type of "discrimination" is going to happen, it should be with the at-larges who come "just for the experience" rather than the top teams in the world.

If any division could perform on the baseball field without it feeling like a consolation prize, it would be Large Senior and Large Coed. It sucks, but it does make the most sense. Maybe it will be pretty neat - like the bandshell in Daytona. And it is later, so that should help with the heat.

They don't have anything scheduled in the Field House at that time, so if the weather is bad, they can move it back inside, but having it on the baseball field is clearly the only way to fit all the feels - even after moving finals to a Monday. Do you really think all the at large bid winners are to blame for the space? It could be I suppose, but I've oftentimes used Finals Day as a park day. Plus a lot of those kids might be going to the block party at that time.

Exactly. They are trying to help with space. Moving the at-larges who are just "there for the experience" would do nothing to help with overcrowding. Want to move the most amount of people? Move the most popular divisions.

Well I think she meant that those teams, since they're not competing, all crowd in and take up all the seats. That could be part of it, but I don't think it will solve the problem.

Not relevant, but I wish that prelims were in josten's instead of us trials for the international division. Boo.

I know in 2010 Senior Elite performed again after winning. Did all other world champ teams to that point perform again or was it just large senior? I can't remember. I'm almost positive it was for filming purposes.

I just realized- IO6 is mostly going to be international teams. Who are already super-jet-lagged, now get ZERO sleep. Yeah, THAT'S a good idea.

SERIOUSLY USASF, WE DID THIS ALREADY. If people get seriously hurt, I will beat you with smelly trouts.

But seriously, does anyone know if Purple Cheerios are still coming? I would buy the live feed just for that.

PURPLE CHEERIOS ARE BACK I AM SO EXCITED! BEST DAY EVER!

Side note: there's a Team Ireland listed in SS and one listed in IO5. Are they two separate teams, or is that a mistake?

Extra side note: Are Large Senior/Coed actually COMPETING on the baseball field? Or is that just where awards are? Because the Perf Order suggests they'll be in the Milkhouse, but the schedule makes it seem like they're outside.

Team Ireland are actually competing only IOC5 apparently, last minute change. Not sure if they ever intended on competing SS but I don't think so.

Here's just a small thought. STOP giving out some many At large bids. Worlds is about the best of the best. Someone wins and others lose but you have to work your butt off to get to call your self the greatest. We all know a few at large teams that are not ready but just want to say they went. This notions that if you tailor it down people won't come is so wrong they will come and the athletes will work hard to get that earned spot. Everyone doesn't get to win and losing builds character.

They're giving out less AL bids next year. 2 for every paid bid instead of 3.

Word. That'll be interesting.

But seriously. Purple Cheerios- Yay or Nay? As this may or may not influence my desire to last-minute ticket it down there.

The Fierce Board: if a team cheers and isn't talked about, does it still get a medal?
