why does CA feel the need to expand and risk opening a new gym that may not deliver the same service seen from the texas locations and the new location potentially failing and hurting your overall image?

OK, I understand your question now. We have staffers who have been a part of the CA family for many years - several for all of their professional lives. We are confident in their ability to infuse the "CA Way" into a new facility or new business venture whether that is across town or across the country.

Regarding risk: from coaches deciding how difficult to make a stunt section to owners committing hundreds of thousands of dollars (or more) on new leases/buildings - risk is a daily part of business. There are few, if any, guarantees in life or the business world.

Is this a real question? So if a business is thriving you don't think it should expand because of the risk of failure? How would expansion hurt their image? By this theory no business should ever expand beyond the region they started in.

ETA: you know there are McDonalds in China. Just sayin

I read it as he/she just means if the new location didn't offer the same CA service it could tarnish their pretty much flawless reputation and it would be risky.

Bluecat answered/reassured them above though.

I live in NC. There are rumors flying about. Gyms are freaking out. Requiring contracts (10 mos for mini/youth, 12 mos for jr/sr) it's all the talk. At least last time I was social. And not at work.

I have heard the NC rumor as well, just not specifics on location within the state. Charlotte would be a good location, and it will definitely be interesting to see if/how many CEA athletes move.

Sidenote: The rumor mill when it comes to new locations/mergers is seriously HILARIOUS sometimes.

Things I've heard about rumored mergers:

"I heard they require contracts for minis."

"I heard they're gonna require the minis to purchase tanning contracts."

"I heard they have an in house tanning salon."

"I heard they don't take any girls who have bobs."

"I heard their minis are going to be tumbling everyday for 3 hours."

I think CAC would have more to worry about then CEA. CEA has a very different coaching style and how they create teams then CA. For instance CEA will place kids on up to 3 different teams with practices only being once per week for each team. CA doesn't do very many crossovers and you have to be performing at the top of the level of your team.

So CA doesn't do progression? Like if you don't have your tuck without a spot at try-outs you will 100% not be on a level 3 team? Even if its very likely you'll get it within the next 3 weeks?

(not being sarcastic/rude etc here - genuinely don't get what you mean :D)

That's right. You have to be virtually competition ready with all required skills - at tryouts - to be placed on that level team.
