I'm going to be a Disney freak for a minute and it's Brer Rabbit :p Because it's "so" important. Lol. That ride is based off of Song of the South which is based off of the B'rer Rabbit stories. My history professor spent a week on those last year!

Lol I was so confused I Googled 'briar rabbit.' (some music came up...) This makes more sense. I used to read Br'er Rabbit every day when I was a little girl.

I almost did it. It was bugging me too!

Hopefully that works, I'm posting from my phone.

PCM Vacaville had our showcase today! I'm excited to be more involved with the routine. I feel like I'm really going to like this team.

Major bummer, I had work immediately after showcase. I'm about two and a half hours from being able to go home and I'm just struggling. Living two hours away from the gym sucks so bad.

ETA: Dont mind me standing on my tippy toes to get to an even height!

Second ETA: I definitely meant that the showcase was yesterday. I'm so bad at remembering that just because I haven't gone to sleep doesn't mean today is yesterday and tomorrow isn't today. I'm tired.

Isn't Briar Rose a book? Or a Grimm fairytale or something?

Yes. The Little Briar Rose/Sleeping Beauty is a Grimm Fairy tale.

I like the name Briar but not so much with Rose because of the fairy tale.

I also kind of like the name Kelly Rowland gave her baby... "Titan". I hope he grows up to be a huge football player and that way before games he can be like "I have to make sure they remember forever, the night they played the Titan"

Remember the Titans is my favorite.

haha, I know, but it's what popped into my head...I figured I wouldn't be the only one ;)

Anyone else see the beyonce video going around? I really just hope Bey been drannnnking because she looks a bit crazy in that video.

Would you fill her in? Ok, I'm team mom for my CP's team and we had a parent meeting (no coaches just parents) last night regarding: showcase, comps, goodie bags, team parties etc. I have sent out about 4 emails about the meeting and also posted it on our Facebook page, the meeting went great, when it was over we had about 10 minutes to watch out girls finish their practice, as we were watching our girls I see a mom from our team walk in and she approaches me and tells me " Oh the meeting was tonight"? I said yes it was tonight and asked her did you happen to receive the emails or see the FB post? Well she told me she did see the emails but didn't read them all the way! Then I proceeded to give her some sign-up sheets for team board and Goodie bags sign-ups, she signed up and that was that, and we went home. This morning I get an email from her telling me that since she didn't attend the meeting could I fill her in on everything that was discussed at the meeting!
First of all, I know parents have busy lives and not all can attend the meetings but for her to admit to me that she isn't reading my emails and now expects me to write this email to her filling her in with everything that was discussed at the meeting is a little selfish, I'm trying not to take it personal but I feel like she is wasting my time since she already admitted to me that doesn't read my emails through, I wrote her back and told her that a lot of things were discussed and that I was at work and that I would fill her in at the showcase, what would you do?

If all the information discussed was in the emails I would just let her know it is all in those and she needs to read them. If the info is not there them yes, you owe her a recap. It's a thankless job but someone has to get suckered into team mom every year.

*if a cheerleader retires early, before aging out, do they receive reduced benefits?*

The info wasn't on the emails, totally annoying and rude on her part to admit to my face that she did see the emails and chose not to read the them, but I did sign up for the job so, I will be filling her in at showcase.
