You know good and darn well what he meant.
Everyone not just looking for an argument knew what you meant.
Like I said earlier... She knew what he meant too.

(my skepticism has proven fruitful in making things more clear when some people thought that some things were just "obvious", even when they came from a source)

Actually no, your skepticism was proven a waste of time, as it's been cleared up that it's exactly what I said like 10 pages ago - that he chose to do the show rather than risk not being on the team. So, after all these pages of you going on and on about the legalities of making someone be on a show, and how jail prisoners don't have to even, and blah blah... It's exactly what I said.

Like I said, freaking semantics. You're arguing something that doesn't matter just to troll.

So now we're going to spend another 10 pages while you question @NJCoach even though, AGAIN, you know good and well that she's right.

I have lost all respect for smoed. It's okay for then to kick someone off the team freely who works their butts off but just can't hit a certain stunt. But it's not okay for someone to willingly leave on their own because they felt in welcomed...... And then to threat someone? That's not okay.
I still have respect for those kids and their talent. At the end of the day, they are just kids. While I'm not a fan of some of the things I've seen on social media in the last year or so, they are kids who react first and think second. As far as the adults in charge, I would be lying if I said my respect for them hasn't diminished. I don't understand the path they have taken, but I don't have to understand. I also don't have to watch. I will never root against a specific team because I don't like what the adults in charge have done. I hope Smoed has a successful season, because from all angles, the kids work hard.

Just like to point out, even if they tried to deport him for that lame reason, the case wouldn't last long. Especially if there was nothing about the visa saying that he absolutely had to be with Cali in order to be in America.

I don't wish any harm on their season and I wasn't speaking of the kids. Teens will be teens. But I'm speaking from the coaches point of view and the way they're going about this. It's rather disgusting to me.

i was aware of exchanges not having money involved since each family takes the others kid. in my past experience, with university students, not all host families have paid for food and offered free lodging. my aunt and uncle took in a student from japan and were actually paid. that was very generous of that family that took in your son.
Students solely studying in home stay situations are very different. We can also apply to take in foreign students here in NZ. The students from Japan & China can generate quite a good income for these families, at times up to $400 a week.
We were lucky enough for our son to have some amazing people take him in as one of their own both in Cali and NC insisting that they want to do that for him. We are not a well off family and have put everything we have for years into Dylan's cheer career for the last 5 years to allow him to compete domestically and internationally both in Australasia and the USA (both ICU and USASF each year) I am on what you call disability in the USA due to breaking my back twice in 4 years. Dylan had just been to worlds for the 4th time since he was 13 two months before he left for the USA and we are still struggling to keep him there. I have sold my only vehicle to help fund his expenses and to allow his twin sister to come and see him in the USA. The people he now has in his life in the USA looking out for him are the most amazing people I have ever met and we are forever greatful to them as is Dylan

How embarassing for CA that they operated under such a false assumption about their role in obtaining/ maintaining legal "residency" in the US. On the plus side, I'd venture to guess that it will soon become SOMEONE'S job to become better versed in VISA and INS information for CA. Perhaps this person can later be of assistance to the USASF, who appears to also need some clarification in this area.

Yes. I'm not sure if I'm impressed, flattered or slightly taken aback that you remember that. Am I that boring and repetitive? lol

I actually have very few words for any of this, as now this drama is just in legit death spiral. ABORT MISSION.

1. I have a superb memory and reciting random facts about people and their lives is a special talent I have. It impresses people at parties but also creeps them out. It's a gift and a curse. So don't worry, you're not repetitive :p

2. I am a graphic designer. I would remember Pantone boy. I have a love/hate relationship with Pantone.

3. I giggle-snorted at "legit death spiral."

well a reason to go into ins would be to inform them of the change in the situation, which would be reasonable, from a business stand-point. i just hope it wasnt to try and get someone deported. that would be very deviant and cruel. i hope it wasnt that. dylan looks happy in his cea vids, and i hope his last year is a memorable and happy one. good luck.

Actually there are other international athletes on OTHER teams that both Eddie and Tannaz work with.

There was absolutely no reason to inform them of the change in situation as it was not a requirement of his visa etc as I said. It was definitely to get him deported because of a vindictive arrogant attitude. Deviant and cruel? Most definitely. From a business stand point it was not. I would not of said a thing if it was a legitimate request

youre such an overdramatic person. dont be mad cause your were proven wrong...

I'm sure what he said was "in order to be on the team, he had to be on the show." So it seems pretty obvious that CA has made a condition of being on smoed that you have to agree to it.

To be on smoed, he had to agree to be on the show. (had to = a condition of making the team, not a legal obligation)

it has not been proven that he needed to agree to be on the show in order to be on smoed, he simply *THOUGHT* that not agreeing to being on the show would diminish his chances of making the team, and that has been shown to be *unfounded*. what you thought to be obvious turned out to not be obvious.

One of the guys I was hanging with for NYE is in printing, so he feels the same way lol. Every time I see the name blazoned on Sephora or when Pinterest likes to remind me of the 'Pantone Color of the Year' I throw up slightly. It's ok though- he's apparently gotten ugly while I'm only getting more fantastic with age. His loss :D

This is a key point. These are kids who are likely to act as teenagers often do – in a spontaneous and emotional manner. For many of them, the first step when angry and upset, maybe even feeling betrayed, would be to vent on Twitter. Is this the right thing to do? Of course not. Many of them went too far, and they need to take responsibility (props to Kassidy for apologizing on here), but much of the onus falls on the adults taking care of them to give guidance.

This is not the first time Cali kids have been criticized for terrible social media actions. Unless the coaches, staff and parents step up, impose rules, enforce those rules, and lead by example, it won't be the last time.

ETA: fixed up ma grammar. Grammar is life.

Yes there are other internationals on other teams. I know that. I actually helped one on a CA San Marcos team with advice and documentation requirements for their visa. My point was not on Smoed there isn't

Mate, seriously, you may need to stop now. You're going around and around in circles arguing semantics to the extent that no one even knows what your point is anymore.

im aware of that. were you trying to quote someone else?

well they may have been unsure if they needed to inform INS of a change in information that was originally sent to the INS on behalf on CALI, so they may have gone in to inform them as a precaution. i doubt anyone will ever know the true reason. smoed is fine with their new roster. cea coed has a great addition (your son) to their team. ive seen his intstagram vids and interviews from the show, your son is a good kid and im glad hes happy where hes at now.
