OT New Random Thread

i miss fiercechat!

Trying to find a tailor near me to help make my pageant dress a bit sexier for prom.. Here's a pic of it currently (sorry if it's huge!)

Tell me about it! But if I don't then further down the road I'll have to wait to take a different class that's only offered in spring a whole year. I'll still have 6 weeks of summer. 3 in the beginning and 3 right before the end.

I am watching the new season of 16 & Pregnant right now, the girl is from Miami, OK and was in a cheer gym talking to what appears to be either an ex or current OSU cheerleader. I laughed when she basically said that when she graduated high school she still planned on cheering in college then did a bow&arrow while doing the OSU cheer. Yeah honey goodluck cheering at OSU with a baby :cheering::banghead: .

yeah she had a standing full -_- way to get pregnant. she probably could have made it if she didn't have a baby

Yeah she had talent and then got pregnant. I don't see many big name coaches taking on a cheerleader who not only has a child, but had the child on MTV for the world to see. The girl does seem sweet though.

She didn't have a standing full, she just did one on a trampoline. I think she does have a running full though. Here's a video of her tumbling from a few weeks ago: New pass kinda sloppy but I did it She had one of her coed stunting also, but it isn't working now. It seems like she was good. Not really OSU good, but a decent level 5 considering she would still have 2 years to improve if she was just any old cheerleader.

If I was a gym owner I wouldn't have MTV filming her in the gym/would not be happy about her wearing her uniform pregnant on tv........
The girl said she didn't want to take birth control because she didn't want to gain weight.

she seems like she would be a little sweetie but honestly the whole thing doesnt really shed a good light on cheerleading lol

Where did she cheer? I wanted to watch last night but I was too busy doing scholarship stuff :/

I wasn't too happy about the uni. Or the "not taking birth control because she didn't want to gain weight" thing. BUT..I don't think it made CHEERLEADING look bad. It made HER look bad. I don't think we have to worry about people boycotting Jamfests across the country because of "that pregnant cheerleader on tv."

Yeah I wouldn't want MTV filming in my gym for a show like that either. The fact that she didn't take birth control because she didn't want to get fat was just shocking.
I just don't understand how she figured she would have time to cheer in college while having a kid. She realizes that they travel quite a bit and practice a lot right?

She really seemed like a nice girl and had a much better episode then 90% of the trashy dramatic episodes in the past, but the cheer thing just bothered me.

its not necessarily the whole of cheerleading i was talking about, more like the idea of her gym in particular, like i get that teens are getting pregnant and yada yada and how the gym wants to be inclusive and everything but i just think having her in uniform, watching the team practice and all that while being pregnant isnt very smart it may just be me but it just doesnt sit that well for some reason i will admit though the birth control thing was actually hilarious (but her saying "im a cheerleader i cant get fat not so much)
