So funny that I was just talking about this over the weekend. There has definitely been recruiting, though not necessarily to the high school. 100k start up loans for the parents if the kid comes to trinity. Fully furnished multi million dollar house, that was renting rooms to kids. Shady practices.

This story is going to get more interesting sooner rather than later.

Yeah, I imagine the high school situation is more of a byproduct of the gym recruiting.

Are you saying trinity was giving parents a hundred grand to cheer on their team?

And renting out rooms at a "vacant" house, was this to the family of the athlete or the kid only? And, was this million dollar house the owner's current house that she was letting people live in?

I'm just stating that those are the rules in Georgia. Put forth by the Georgia High School Association. Not me. I don't know about any other state. And yes, if you come after cheer tryouts, then you don't cheer that year.

I'm saying that money, big sums of money, were offered.

The house was given, fully furnished, to a member of the staff, and family. I guess that was enough for those that moved in, cause rooms were then rented out to cheerleaders.

Like I said, the whole thing is going to get worse...and very soon I would think

Renting out rooms is equivalent to a family hosting an athlete which occurs all the time.

Personally, I think Trinity is more guilty than John's Creek of recruiting.
However, Jamie Parrish has never been someone to hide his opinions - and calling him out by bashing GA's performance this weekend makes you sound just as "salty" as you are making him out to be. The man has always been a very outspoken individual.

I've been a huge GA Allstars fan since their 2010 Worlds win. But this whole thing seems wrong. What stake does the owner of GA Allstars and two GA Allstars parents (each interviewed in this report) have in Johns Creek High School, when none of them have children attending? Sounds like a vindictive attack brought on by jealousies of some kind. If I were the parent of either girl mentioned, I'd be filing some orders of protection and a slander suit immediately. This is a sad day in cheerleading. So glad the drama never reaches this level in our neck of the northern woods.

But (and correct me if I'm wrong) wasn't he making allegations when Shayla left GA in the first place this summer? I remember there was A LOT of hostility from him on twitter.

Those parents may have children attending schools competing against Johns Creek. Its not fair for those schools who play by the rules.

I have no clue. He can be hostile - plenty of coaches are a little tainted when some of their best athletes go to a different program. But, just because he spoke to the press - which I don't necessarily condone - doesn't mean he is the one who reported this. Jamie Parrish is one of the most notorious names when you think cheer in Georgia. Just trying to see it from a different side here.

I am very outspoken myself. His attention is def on Trinity and it shows. Call me salty all you want. The more he is focused on someone else's gym or team, the more his own team will suffer. In other words (to be salty), his team will continue to look a hott mess.

Wow, Jamie Parrish didn't even call them trash in that article, guess he reserves that for Twitter.
Anyways. I'm not going to comment on the actual content of the article because, as much as we'd like to say it is all out of bitterness, there's a real chance that the concern brought up, for whatever motive, is valid.

Reading this thread I can't help but think how rumor and speculation becomes fact so quickly on here.

Here is a fact for you - Johns Creek won 1st in 09, 6th in 10 and 2nd in 11 before either of these two Athletes moved into the area. So they've been a powerhouse since they opened, winning state their first year.

As for the rest of it - I'll wait to see the final report to pass judgement since the "reporter" didn't
