Emotions aside, businesses of any sort only merge out of necessity. In light of recent gym closings in the area, this may have been the best option for providing athletes a permanent home. While everyone's admiration for the underdog makes a good story, it in no way pays the bills.

being from Maryland, i don't think these gyms could be any more different. in terms of technique, style, values, coaches.. i just see this as one big clash. i don't view these programs as "equals" at all.

this is maryland, so i have no idea what to expect. btw, this could have been HUGE if it was released immediately after worlds with the appropriate outreach and promotion.
