Jam Hops uniform is beautiful in person, the white straps are not part of the uniform, and they wanted a one piece so they didn't have tops riding up in the routine. Some people wont like it but it seems like a smart decision...the details are my favorite; they have a faux belt with crystal on...
I like the lines on the Juniors uniform, and "Melbourne" on the arm of the higher level teams. May I suggest putting "Melbourne" on the other arm of the lower level teams, possibly smaller or in a different font...then when they move up to the higher level they get a uniform that has Melbourne...
I've been thinking about this a LOT lately, and I know this discussion was going on some time ago...but ultimately isn't the best way to attract kids to the sport of cheerleading to emphasize the big picture? By that I mean find what cheerleading does best, and what it contributes to the lives...
This is random (See title) and will be my first un-cheer related post, but I recently launched a kickstarter program to try and raise funding for a storytime app for parents to use (I have a 10 month old and try to read to her every night before bedtime). For all you cheer parents and...
Will be posting about my trip through Vizion, Midwest Xplosion, and Elite Cheer Michigan (and a few others in the Detroit area) in my blog tonight! I also think I'm interviewing Beth pretty soon, she has some very interesting opinions about competitions and scoring that will be a good read...
To comment on the dislike "small" gyms have for the mega gyms expanding into other territories they are right to be worried. Big names will draw athletes away, even the most loyal ones, if they think they have a better chance at winning if they leave for the big name gym. What is going to happen...
I actually was at Vizion today and got to meet with the owners and see their level 5 team warm-up, Charles and Beth are VERY nice and good at what they do, wouldn't be surprised if they are back in the finals at Worlds this year
I hope we see more lesser known gyms making it into Worlds, I know a lot of the gyms here in the Midwest need paid bids to make it happen though; partial bids are nice but it seems like the cost is still just too much for some people
I had never heard of Dream Allstarz from Michigan until recently, does anyone cheer for them, or have you seen them compete? What little I've heard about them so far has been good.
I posted a link to a story about this on my cheer blog today, cool stuff! It really was just a matter of time, I would wager more practice and performance injuries occur in cheerleading than plenty of other sports; and it requires just as much talent and work.
To the person who mentioned I am curious because I work for a vendor, that's correct, I work for Rebel Athletic as an Account Manager; Fury Athletics is actually my customer. To let you all in on a little exciting news Fury is going to have a new uniform, but it will be similar to their current...
Hello Fierceboard,
I need your help with some research into cheerleading and recent success stories. Unfortunately for those of you outside the midwest this will be a relatively boring topic. I'm curious about who the under the radar teams and gyms are that do well at competitions and are...
