Twisters Hail won Small Senior 4, a Jersey team got 2nd place and Gravity Cheer Intensity got 3rd. I am shocked and am dying to see video. GC was in 1st yesterday (and had the 2nd highest score of the entire day) and I heard that the Jersey team had an injury today had to stop restart and didn't get their pyramid up.
Intensity won best tumbling, best choreography, best stunts and still somehow ends up in 3rd...I am stunned.

Intensity was in first day 1 by .8, both gravity and jersey hit day one as well as twisters, so top 3 scores were fairly close. We( jersey) went on day 2 and a backspot got a broken nose and went to the hospital and we had to get a fill in. Her stunt group did a watered down version of the stunt, and our pyramid did go up and hit. Intensity had 1 sf and Twisters hit and they deserved it. just my opinion

Again we were nothing but polite and nice to every team out there and unless you were there and saw then please don't comment. Our gym has been nothing but nice to everyone. As for that poor girl. It's extremely unfortunate however they were given 3 hours to fix a routine that prior to the injury they dropped a stunt and busted out of tumbling so thats not fair I think unless you saw something 1st hand you all need to understand that people exaggerate tremendously.

It's expected that a team in the same division would not find it fair considering the tb and sf. But that is the decision of the judges, not a parent. It is uncalled for to say that you find it not fair if you are not a judge. Gravity had an amazing routine up until their sf... should they have been allowed to start over too? Or is that not what you were implying...

I always love this competition although I felt as if the scoring was a little awkward. Many teams either went down, or up like 6-10 points from Saturday to Sunday that just seems like such a big jump especially since the judges are supposed to be judging within a range.

On another note USA Wildcats had a great weekend. Four 1st places ( Youth 1, Sm. Jr. 2 ( & best lvl 2 pyramid) Lrg. Sr. 3, and Sm. Coed 5) and Three 2nd places.

For those asking for updates on the Jersey cheerleader...she has Orbital fractures. She will be having surgery in about a week, once the swelling goes down.

This is an email Nicole's mom has requested that I post because she was was very upset by what was being discussed on the board:

Shame on all of you who are worried about whether Jersey should have started over, what place they should be in, what other teams were allowed etc. You should all get your priorities straight. While you are arguing over rules and who should have won, I am calling insurance companies and specialists to see who will perform surgery on my daughter's face and eye. I would not wish this on my worst enemy. At the end of the day we are all moms with daughters who cheer. I would have gladly taken last place and have my daughter healthy. Shame on those who can't keep perspective of what's important!

That poor girl! Sounds like a total freek accident for her to have such severe injuries. Definitely wishing her a speedy recovery.

OUCH! :( Didn't that happen to an F5 girl in a kick doub last year, too? That's gotta hurt :( Hope she is doing okay and heals well.
