You could be right. I just heard that you can still get a kickback without getting uniforms. Im no Varsity expert. I just love that GK doesnt HAVE TO HAVE contracts, because people will return to GK without them requiring customers to.
I hear ya!

the fashion show segment... you could do awards like best new uniform, most likely to flash audience (;)), what the heck are you wearing?, most innovative, everyone-will-copy-this-in-the-next-year award, cleanest, most likely to be mistaken for swimwear, etc.
I absolutely LOVE this! Shimmy x 1000000000. Especially the "what the hack are you wearing" and "most likely to be mistaken for swimwear" I'm all for innovative unis, but I think recently it's gone too far. The uniform should be a symbol of team pride, and take a backseat to the skills of the athletes. When the uniforms detract from the performance, (as some do, not to name names, but we've all heard about the wardrobe malfunction at Worlds) it's too much. I understand crop tops because they're cooler and they don't ride up. And I even understand the shorts (even though I think they're unflattering) because skirts bunch up. But sleeves?? Were they really inhibiting you that much? I mean, gymnasts do it. You are at a cheerleading competition, not the beach or the club. Dress appropriately.

CEA needs to switch to GK. Their uni's look very average compared to F5 and other teams in their division. IMO

See, I respectfully disagree. I LOVE our level 5 unis. They're probably my favorite w/the exception of F5's newer ones (the ones that sparkle really pretty under the lights). They're clean, classic, pretty, and elegant. Not overly showy, blinged out, etc. They remind me of the little black dress of cheer unis. Sure, someone at the party has a stunning, eye opening dress that everyone notices but not everyone can/will wear. In contrast to that dress at the party, we're the little black dress...classic, elegant, always looks good, clean, etc.

In my earlier post I mentioned varsity had a few uniforms I liked... CEA is one of them.

Here is my thing about the 'New' Varsity Uniforms (AKA the GK knockoffs) They havent spent all the time and effort into getting the 'perfect fit'. Just because it looks like a GK - doesnt mean it is.

Here are EIGHT questions and Answers Regarding GK Uniforms:

1. What are the performance characteristics of your fabrics?

______________________________

GK works directly with select fabric mills to develop four-way super-stretch fabrics specific to our

stringent specifications.

2. How do you ensure proper uniform fit?

_____________________________________________

GK’s reputation was built on the perfect fit of its garments. In fact, we have a proprietary fit

formula and a full-time, dedicated fit specialist on sta
ff
to ensure optimum comfort and
performance with each uniform.

3. What sewing methods are used when constructing your garment?

_______________________

GK uses a four thread safety stitch instead of the industry norm of three threads. GK garments

are sewn with 16 stitches per inch compared to the norm of 12 to 14 per inch. GK uniforms are

the most durable uniforms on the market.

4. How large is your selection of fabric and embellishments?

______________________________

GK o
ff
ers the industry’s largest selection of fabrics, colors and prints and the widest array of
embellishment options including jewels, embroidery, bridge laser, Sequinz, and imprinting.

5. What types of jewels do you use?

__________________________________________________

GK pioneered the use of jewels in gymnastics 15 years ago and introduced them in to cheer. We

use only world’s finest Austrian-made Swarovski crystals, not cheap glass or acrylic imitations.

Caution: under bright lights, all varieties of jewel may look similar, but under stage lighting, real

crystals will “light up” while imitations will falter.

6. What testing and inspection procedures are performed?

_______________________________

GK inspects and rigorously tests every single roll of fabric we purchase before sending it into

production. Throughout the production process, each garment undergoes a stringent 11-point

inspection process to ensure the highest quality and consistency.

7. Who actually manufactures your cheer uniforms?

_____________________________________

All manufacturing is done under one roof at GK to maximize quality control. Most of our

competitors do not have the capacity or capability for in house production. GK does not

manufacture through sub-contractors so you can be assured your uniforms meet the highest GK

production standards.

8. Describe the approach of your design team?

_________________________________________

GK has an experienced group of well-educated fashion designers who understand that creativity,

performance, quality, and construction are equally important to a customer. Intensive market

research and

Furthermore - GK knockoffs just DONT fit like a GK. Example:
