You should totally watch My Super Sweet 16. The parents on that show are spending 100s of 1000s of $ on their kids' parties.

Oh I've seen it and must say back when I was a young teenager I was very envious!

I celebrated my August sweet 16 by getting to go to Worlds. Seeing Senior Elite win was the icing on the cake.

I honestly don't really have parties, but I'm not that interested in a big party! I like friend or family dinners (not fast food, but not high end either) or a day/sleepover with a friend, maybe shopping, frozen yogurts and the movies. I never really understood the hype of a big party with people you hardly know and loud music so loud you can't talk to your friends. And I HATE when I hear about parents supplying alcohol. It's illegal and just distasteful.

Fun day with friends > loud parties with randoms.
