The schedule still has Firecats and Katz on there and I know they are not going. Not sure but I don't think KittyKatz are, either.

KittyKatz are going for sure. But, I'm not sure about Firecats or Katz.

According to the comments on the IG post, division grand champs still get a jacket. The coin is a gift for all participants.

I can see the disappointment of going from a jacket to a coin. Since GK provided the jackets last year. I'm guessing the EP had to come up with something (and pay for it) themselves this time around?

Same here - I don't expect anything but I feel we were lead to believe there was some fabulous gift coming. Now maybe to some people a collectible coin is more of a hit than a jacket but not for my kid. I still haven't shown the coin to her.

I have not told my child either about the coin. She is going to be sad. I am hoping the 80 degree sunny weather will take the edge off

So I girl I used to cheer with is there and apparently she's not allowed to leave her hotel room without her mom since shes not 21. Has anyone else heard of this being an issue?

In Vegas you're not allowed to be in the casino if you're under 21 but you can still walk through them to shops or restaurants. As long as she stays on the walkways and isn't wandering around the tables/slots she should be fine

Thats what I told her but she said that she wasn't allowed to even walk through the hotel without her mom. Every time I've been to Vegas as long as we stayed on the walk ways it was fine but maybe some hotels are stricter than others?

I asked my friend attending Allstar Games. She said there are no rules about wandering around the hotel, besides her mom being like don't do that.

Maybe it depends on which one they're in?

doesn't ASG require all athletes in the same hotel? part of their crazy, mandatory "package" with registration? it'd be silly for them to force youth athletes into a hotel where they aren't allowed out of their rooms. i'd say that's a coach/parent being strict, not the hotel. granted, there are strict rules about where they can be, but they can definitely leave their rooms.

ASG does not require the athletes to stay in their rooms and no wandering.
