Texas Tech is actually one of the most consistent campus' in my company for their sales numbers every year. (I work for a t shirt company that caters to greek life) Last fiscal year (July 2014-June 2015) they sold almost $1,000,000 in t shirts. Crazy.
We do similar days. C day is candy, H is hand me down (something that your big gave to you, or something you want to start), I is insignia (so crest, symphony, etc.) and O is owls. And then for reveal we make matching shirts and then you can give your little more gifts, but what you give them is up to you. The days have money limits, but reveal does not. We don't do big appreciation at all, so the littles are never required to make anything until they get a little. And then for initiation I think we're only required to make a plaque with some information on it, but normally bigs make another basket. For the day of reveal I think i had three canvases, a set of rhinestone letters, random owl things, another letter shirt, a wine glass and some other things.
We had to set limits eventually because some girls were going WAY beyond what was necessary. Everyone loves their littles but when they were displayed in the chapter room for the girls to pick up it made everyone else look bad. Monogrammed pullovers, lilly tumblers/planners/clothes, nice jewelry etc.

Haha I was terrible. I felt bad for my littles. The first one I struggled through and then I took another one the next year and made everyone in the house paint it for me. They were all so talented and I suck at anything like that. Thankfully they weren't too big. The TV tray table was one of these:
Nobody in my chapter goes to that extreme, but Greek life at my school isn't huge either. It's nice that they give you guys the basics so someone doesn't decorate a small cooler and another person do a giant cooler for a weekend away. Also, how much time do you guys get to paint the tables and coolers?
Usually probably two weeks or so. Sometimes we would get the items a few days before we actually got assigned our little, so you could start doing priming/basecoat stuff and shopping for extras. Then you could personalize it once it was assigned.
Ah ok. If you take a little in the fall for us it depends on how much time you get. This past fall we got about two and a half weeks to get ready for reveal, including our fall break that pretty much everyone goes home for. Late fall before, they only got about one week and it didn't fall around fall break so everything had to be done in dorms which isn't easy since we don't have a house on campus and pretty much everyone lives on campus or with their parents and commutes.
I always had limited supplies, so it was much easier when I lived in the house. I just borrowed most of what I needed from the resident craft queens.
Did you know your littles two weeks before reveal? Our bigs found out who they were matched with on Friday or Saturday and big little week started Tuesday! Most bigs (including those I know in other chapters) do their crafting over the summer so the big things like letters aren't that personalized, then mostly just personalize the snacks and tshirts (well getting them in the right size lol) and such. Reveal shirts/outfits are personalized of course because they can't order them till they know!
Usually close to that time frame. I'm thinking it was two weeks but I know for sure it was at least one full one.
we're definitely one of the closest if not the closest big little pair out of the chapter :/
Oh no that's so sadIdk if I've mentioned this on here before but this semester my little transferred back home and decided to take all of her classes online. I'm so sad
is she transferring back or is she out for good?
Well she's still taking her classes through ECU so I guess she could come back if she wanted to but I don't know if she willOh no that's so sad
