I remember Jason from pro telling us in the beginning of the season when we decided on attending the summit that these bids are harder to get than paid bids to worlds, which I now see is totally true. I'm very lucky my team got one when we did. I just feel like they need to do something to distribute the bids more evenly by division. Seems like some divisions have tons of teams while others have barely any. Hopefully they could figure out something to fix this

This is probably because the same divisions are also deeper at most competitions. Junior 3 has had a lot of competitors at each event all season. Makes sense that that division has the most bids for the Summit.

I would expect the divisions that had A, B and C splits at large competitions to have more Summit bid competitors. The divisions are just bigger overall.

There might be a couple exceptions, but I feel like there is somewhat of a correlation of larger divisions having more teams. Like Y4 has no teams listed and there are very few Y4 teams in the country. Makes sense, and I would rather it be that way than have an equal number of teams in every division.

Oops, @cheergoogle beat me, that's pretty much what I was trying to say.

Anyone know bid results of AC Orlando? There were 2 paid and 10 at large. I only can see that Brandon J4 got one of the paid.

It said 5 AL were going to small gym and 1 paid to small gym and 5 AL to "large" gym and 1 paid to "large" gym. Seems like occasionally some of these gyms can't decide if they are small or large, but that may be for another time and maybe small gyms if they get a small gym AL bid may need to go to the small gym Summit, but we'll worry about that next season since that is all mainly speculation at this point.

Brandon J4 got paid. Broward Elite Sr 4 got AL. Flip City Small coed sr got AL. Florida Triple Threat Large S3 AL. Those are the ones I know as I just got back to town after the drive.

eta: edited because it looks like The Clash from Rockstar got paid today at this comp so I am not sure.

Rock Star Naples competed as a small gym.

eta: Edited because I am interested to know why an EP would decide to give half of the bids to the small gym division? Especially because, by my count, there were fewer small gym teams of all levels in attendance than there were large gym level two teams alone. But the small gym teams were awarded half of the bids? Seems to undermine somewhat the integrity of the Summit being the "best of the best." If some of the highest scoring teams are not among the ones attending the Summit, then some of the "best" will not be there. Just my thought anyway.

I hate separate summit bids for small gym, when you go to the summit you will get killed because there isn't a small gym division there .. I think bids should be handed out regardless of gym size and go to the highest teams. If all 10 went to small gyms that is great and the same for large. I just hate they are shared among gym size division splits but oh well this effects me none.
