I live in the city that all the refugees from syria arrive in first after coming from Hungary at the moment.About 3000 got here on tuesday alone. I have never experienced something like this , everyone is trying to help and donates whatever they can, it is amazing to see how many people out there do care and want to help those poor people. I just packed a whole box of shoes and am ready to head out to one of the places they bring the refugees to to register them because people get here wearing no shoes or simply shorts ,tshirts and flipflops/sandals
This is such a difficult time for europe, politicians really need to take action like now
Meanwhile the British media is comparing those poor people to animals and convincing people that they are all here to murder and steal. It is amazing how closed minded people are.

@Just-a-Mom @mstealtoyou
im curious how they test is usually set up, my brain can only retain so many ingredients at this point, i have more then half of the 75 down pretty well, but the rest i can only remember ingredients for them here and there. are menu test usually multiple choice, matching, etc. or is it just a list of the items and then fill in the blank every last ingredient.
ive never taken a menu test before, and i keep hearing differing things.

We weren't expected to get 100 on the test. We could also collaborate on the test, but, ours was fill in the blank.

We broke each dish down to pasta type/sauce/veggie/ protein.

We divided a note card up by quarters and each quarter held a component of the dish. It's almost impossible to know every single thing on a brand new menu and I think they realize it.

What restaurant is it? I'll look at their menu. Maybe I'll see a way to streamline the info.

The things I would know really well are the vegetarian options, do your soup bases use chicken stock? Those kind of things.

Google changed its logo/typeface and I hate it. It's awful. Tbh, it looks better in comic sans than this century gothic-esque typeface. How sad.

In other news I'm leaving to go home in 3 hours and I'm so excited I could scream. I haven't been home since May and I can't wait to see my puppy. I can't wait to squish his cute little face and give him a kajillion kisses and hugs and never let him go :)
Same. This logo would be more fitting for something like a children's learning site.

SOS math people who know Calc II
I cannot figure this problem out for the life of me. I know that I need to do 1/(f')(f^-1(x)) to find it. It's finding the inverse for a=3 that I can't figure out... I know to set the equation equal to three but I can't figure out what x is? I feel like I must be doing something wrong somewhere but every time I rework it I end up with the same issue.

eta sorry the pic is huge!
Do you know how to factor 3rd degree polynomials?

I don't know why I never did this before, but working out while watching Netflix is such a good distraction while doing cardio

that is so sad! i went to one of those camps earlier and the people there were waiting in lines out in the rain to get the simples things in life like a towel or a toothbrush. These are very dark days for the european union and the whole of europe. :(

My bf is a senior math major. Getting him to look at it if he can put down his video games [emoji23]
ETA he said try 199*sqrt(91)/182. I'm not really sure how he got there, but, yeah.

I texted your picture to DS (Junior, College of Engineering) he said:

Well I know that you need to take the inverse of f(x) then take the derivative of the inverse then substitute x for a

But as far as actually solving it that would take more time and effort that I want to put into it

But yeah finding 1/(f)(f^-1) isn't even a logical statement so I have no idea what they're trying to do

update: sorry @cheernerd5678, he has no idea how to do it and is just as stumped as you are.
I know how to do this type of problem but this one just doesn't work out? UGHHHH im so frustrated. It's due at 8am tomorrow and I only have two more tries

I'll try that [emoji23]

I know exactly how I'm SUPPOSED to solve it and there were several other questions on the same homework that I got right. This one just isn't working out.... I'm supposed to set the original equation equal to 3 and solve for x, then plug the x value I get into the derivative of the equation and then divide 1 by whatever that is. But the x value isn't coming out to something reasonable to work with, and for the other ones the answers were 1/4 and 1/5 so I feel like they wouldn't give us some crazy number/equation for the denominator.

Greek yogurt tastes so good but looks so gross.

I don't like yogurt but the Greek yogurt commercials look so good. I always wanted to try it so my sister bought me some. I don't know why I would like it since regular yogurt is too thick texture wise for me. The native in me wanted to be nice (since she bought it for me) so I ate it all. it took me forever lol to eat it. I like whipped yogurt so I might try the Greek whipped yogurt. Have you tried Gerber Graduates Yogurt Melts. Omg they're delicious. Lol idk if you're around kids to end up trying it.

I haven't tried that! But I might have to. My freshman year of college I ate a lot of toddler snacks because they were easy to transport and are generally good for you so no shame here lol.

The first time I bought Greek yogurt I threw it away because I thought it had gone bad...I didn't realize you were supposed to mix it up [emoji15]
