I have to say I'm not a fan. Between the mosh on the back and really open back it a no from me. Not what I would expect from CA because their uniforms are usually perfect and bra friendly.

these remind me a LOT of the Az Power synchro uniforms from 2013-2014 (the ones with the capris) only these are somehow even worse. Those were at least pretty. The top is very blocky and unflattering and the pants... bottoms shouldn't have mesh. period. I'm sorry I just really do not like this!

I don't like capris or mesh bellies but these aren't awful!
I wouldn't want to wear light blue capris but they're cute on the little girls. I wonder if this is for all teams or just younger ones? I feel like I would hate it on seniors but I don't mind it on the girls in the photo.

I have yet to see a team compete in capris where at least half the team isn't tugging up the waist at some point during the routine. Should get interesting with tugging and sheer mesh stomachs.

I was reminded of this:

I love your hockey references, LOL!

The only way the Texas Cheer pleat uniform is going to be ok with me is if they have a Sailor Moon theme. That's the only way. That uniform is crazy. Vertical stripes in the form of pleats, horizontal stripes, logo slapped in the middle of it all. Too much.
Noooo LMAO! Anime pushes the envelope too much for me, LOL!

Aww man. Rebel just had me liking their work for CA with their beautiful full top a few pages back but now there's this....mesh on leggings is a no go for me. The winter-y snowflake pattern is off to me too. Doesn't go with the clean lines on the main body of the top.

Not really directed toward you, but....

PEOPLE. STOP BLAMING REBEL. THEY JUST DO WHAT THE COACHES WANT!

We love CA. But that doesn't mean that they don't have coaches with ratchet taste. Coaches like that simply go to Rebel because they can trust that their ratchetness will be brought to full fruition.

Yes they do what coaches want but in a lot of cases I'm curious who brings these ideas up first because could go both ways. The coach could say "we want mesh on our leggings" and then the rep has to do it. Or the coach could say "we're thinking of some kind of cool leggings" and then the rep decides to be "innovative" and use mesh on them.

Not trying to call out CA or anything, this can go for all trends (crazy cutouts, full mesh full tops, etc), but this uniform is being discussed right now so I'm using it as an example.

I thank you for this post. Another question that is burning in my mind: why are people so overly opinionated and ridicule these uniforms knowing that the parents have already paid, companies have already distributed and athletes are set to wear some of these. It may be just an opinion which I completely understand , but maybe finding out why the team went with such a choice , and maybe the idea the athletes like their uniforms should cross some posters' mind before hitting the submit button. THATS ALL.

My CP's practice wear is blue capris and I would never want them for a uniform. The knees are already fading, and I'm quite certain she is going to split the pants before the season is over because they're so form fitting, but the next size up was literally falling off her. I hope these uniforms make it through the season.

where does one draw the line at opinion vs overly opinionated?

For what it is worth, (for us at least) new uniform designs are typically a long series of back-and-forth with ideas and prototypes over weeks or even months. It is a tedious drawn-out process. Designers/coaches/coordinaters could easily spend a hundred man-hours coming up with a design. We even have someone whose year-round, full-time job it is to coordinate our uniforms and practice wear.

I love our uniforms and particularly the Queencats one. If you made a checklist of things I normally like/don't like - it wouldn't score very high. (don't normally like mesh, don't normally like a lot of bling, don't normally like extensive cut-outs in the back, etc.) However, in person it is beautiful and the parents & athletes I saw were absolutely thrilled when they got it. It is among my top 2-3 favorites out of the 30-ish? different designs we have had over the last year or so.

I get that it is fun to channel your inner Joan Rivers and make fun of teams' uniforms in an online forum. (I have probably made fun of similar stuff more times that I care to admit.) I just wish that uniforms were being judged in the context for which they were designed (on a team under lights) rather than from a early social media picture.
