And I'm sure she didn't mean that how it sounded, but it's still making a few in Columbia do a double take. There's nothing wrong with confidence. But in the NCAA tournament, every game in a challenge, no matter who you are.

Except maybe UConn in their first game. Yikes.

Lol I get it. Sports have a lot of emotion tied to them. What the Syracuse player said about your team hit a chord and made you scratch your head. And yikes is right about ^^^ I don't know what's worse. That score or the fact that that was Morris' coach's last game. Like that is what he ended his 38 year college coaching career on... Just..... YIKES.

(Also don't mind me today. I've been in heated arguements all day with people and it's getting to me. Am I a graphic designer or a brand lawyer/defender???? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ who knows. So that probably came off a little too defensive. Sorry @quitthedrama )

and if you read the next part that @cheerKT left off:

"That amounted to either bold or foolish talk, but it did speak volumes about the state of the collective Syracuse mind.

Remember, Hillsman's bunch shot just 37 percent from the field during those conquests of Army and Albany, and its grad-student sniper, Butler, had missed 20 of her 24 shots from the field. But it nevertheless led the Black Knights by 30 in the first half on Friday and had outscored the Great Danes 53-31 during one 23-minute stretch this afternoon.

So, sure. The relentless Orange is feeling good about itself as it looks to South Dakota."

They know they aren't the best but all teams in this tournament have an invicible mindset. It's been an "us against the world" tournament for both teams. I wouldn't call her response arrogant or stupid.

I'm looking forward to Friday as well. If they win, great. If they get beat, they still made SU history. They win no matter the outcome!

Say what you want though. All that negativity you SC fans were throwing at us was great mojo for our men. So please, keep going, I'm not going to stop you ;)
We don't often disagree, but I'm definitely side eyeing any lower ranked team talking crap and that statement was exactly that. It's one thing if their opponent had started it or were know to run their mouths. I don't get all upset about the poor sportsmanship aspect - I think it is just stupid and it reminds me of when the Jets play the Patriots and run their mouths every time and more often than not end up making fools of themselves.
I do think it's funny that this happens in most sports and there really isn't much made of it. Imagine the uproar if this same situation occurred the week of Worlds and involved two teams in large senior. :D:eek:

You can't fix stupid, but you can normally fix arrogant. I'm looking forward to Friday.

@cheerKT

I'm just saying. McKayla Epps from Kentucky told reporters that "My daddy said it's difficult to beat the same team 3 times in one season" before they played Kentucky in the semi finals for the SEC tournament

Analysts on the SEC network also said they weren't going to win

Well atleast Cuse will feel right at home[emoji14]I'm excited for this game!

Lol when I first read this I almost said

"right at home in an empty arena? Because Carolina averages over 10k fans a game so it'll be an adjustment "

But I didn't want to be petty and trash talk the game

Freaking South Dakota. My friend offered to give me a buddy pass.....but like...I don't want to be South Dakota.

My cousin I don't know that well played at Stanford, and they lost every single year to Uconn in the final. Sucks.

In other basketball news, my college had our boys basketball team make it to the final 4 (NAIA) and our girls won their championship game tonight! It's their first in program history. It's not D1 but it's still pretty cool [emoji2] hopefully another Kansas team will follow suit in their tournament [emoji6]

Villanova insists on finding a way to screw me every year. Even when I don't pick them.

I'm tied in first right now :cheering:. Probably won't last so I celebrate when I can !

Awe! So disappointed. Never seen the ladies look that bad, off kilter all night. Congrats to Syracuse! Why is South Dakota a state?

Still can't tell me they weren't a challenge tho. (looking at you, Bria Day)

Also, now that SC is out I can admit NCAAW is all a lost cause because no one is beating UCONN lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Dramatic Syracuse wins for women and men back to back tonight :cloud9: My bracket isn't too pretty right now though.

But Cardiac Cuse, man. I need to go recover.
