And in a final where the average age was close to 10 years younger than him. Those 100 flys are always so close. I'll never forget that '08 race!
Funny story about that race. It was cp's 8th birthday and we had celebrated by having a hotel pool party and then a few friends stayed over in hotel room. When he won that race we were all screaming so loudly that the people in the room next to us called hotel security! I had to explain to the security guard that Michael Phelps had just won the most improbable race he would ever win and that everything was all good. :)

I even let out a yelp during the trials race the other day! In 08 I think I was 16 and started doing laps around my bedroom while trying to not wake my parents, lol

In regards to Rio. There is not enough time if they were to relocate the games to London as quite a bit was temporary and the athletes village is now affordable housing. I am worried about the athletes who will have to swim and sail in that filth

I must admit, yesterday I watched 3 episodes of this splendid program called 'Gold Medal Family, the program features 4 or 5 families of Olympic hopefuls and amazingly, I love watching the Raisman's, Steele Johnson's family, Jordan Windle's family and the Rhythmic gymnast, I think her name was Nastyasha (?)...I felt this program did not exploit the families and gave the TV viewers the real sacrifices these families make to make this dream work for these athletes...

PS: This program had me thinking of the real sacrifices All star Cheerleaders make to be on those Big Gym World level teams... "The Work is Real, but is it worth it, hmm, I wonder?

I've watched the first 2 episode and I'm definitely a fan.

I must admit, I prefer this program over Gabby Douglas' family show... It seems to move around to other stories and there is less stress on creating drama or potential drama, which can easily happen with how Gabby Douglas' show is formatted...Furthermore, I like the athletes they chose to focus on their story, like Jajira (?sp) the female boxer and her dad, who trains her, but cannot attend her matches...Wow, these athletes are all inspirations, whether they make it to the Olympics...Again, I would have preferred Gabby was part of this program...

PS: It may be a personal preference of mine to see the preparation to making those extremely talented athletes and their families...

I watched the first 2 episodes of the show...that swimmer's mom...reads psycho

Started it at the gym today. So far so good, only 30 minutes in though.

Can you only watch on the AppleTv app? Or is this an app I can download on my iPad, although I'd prefer to watch it on my computer so be the screen is much larger.
