Did I read somewhere (maybe even here?) that it is reverse performance order for finals on Sunday? So if a team goes last (second to last, etc) on Saturday but makes the cut then on Sunday they are going first or second on Sunday. An advantage on Saturday but no so much for the finals.

(this would be cp's team among the others on here too).

It's reverse placement order ...

So if you are in first you go last. (well almost last since wild cards get special treatment)

Wildcards go first in their Sunday divisions then reverse placement order

We went to the D2 Summit last year. I was surprised at how many ties there were. I don't think there was a division that didn't have a tie somewhere in the final placement. Three way ties weren't unheard of. Does this happen at the D1 Summit?
Also if you have a tie for 1st Place isn't 3rd place technically the next available place? They regularly gave the tying teams each 1st Place (as it should be in this example) the 3rd scoring team would get 2nd place. Now wouldn't there be no 2nd place and that 3rd team should get 3rd place? The number of ties was suprising but since these are the top teams around the country maybe the scores are a lot closer than I'd anticipated but the way they addressed the placements bugged me cause I'd never seen it done that way. Am I the only one who noticed this?

It bugs me immensely. If two teams outscore you, then you are in third place. It doesn't matter what those two teams' score is.

Analogy: If you are standing behind two people in line at the DMV, you are third in line. You don't magically become second in line if those two people stand next to each other.
