I haven't really read through this thread completely yet but this whole idea scares me a little bit. But thats just my first impression. I hope this turns out well and accurately shows what cheerleading is. Its just the fact that cockiness and arrogance is encouraged sets off an alarm in my head. But I wish you the best anyway! :)

I should have phrased that differently...my bad. I was trying to convey that applicants should not hold back when telling us about themselves. We're looking for big and bold personalities and sometimes people don't sell themselves to the extreme in a short, one page document. We want to know everything about applicants....we want to know their biggest achievements. Modesty doesn't really stand out and I want everyone to give this their best shot. Thanks for the well-wishes!

You people are absolutely PATHETIC!! You guys always complain that you want more cheer in the media! Three hours on ESPN and a whole channel dedicated to cheer! Then, when someone says " hey I'm making a tv show for allstar cheerleading " , you attack them NONSTOP! You guys all have NO CLUE on how it is going to be run, and you are assuming everything. All you guys do is WHINE WHINE WHINE!!! you people are the reason allstar cheerleaders have a bad name! You all prove the stereotypes to be right!

I definitely agree with this but I think that most people are concerned about the level of secrecy. The reputation of cheer is in the hands of a bunch of anonymous names. If a few names were released, I think that everyone would be a lot less concerned about everything

I'm choosing to keep the location confidential because I don't want to run the risk of 5000 people showing up. That would be too much to handle in one day. We wouldn't get a chance to really"see" everyone. Those that are interested can apply and they will receive the pertinent information. No secrets here. I just don't understand why those that haven't applied need to know the details. A little mystery makes it more intrigueing to watch.:)

So, you're giving us a good name? You seem to always have something to say, so why is it a big deal if we do?
I don't care if you have an opinion, say it. But, chill out and turn the caps lock off.
You're not understanding, we were concerened b/c I saw where they wrote that cockiness and arrogance was acceptable and it sent a flag. Why would a coach want that on a team. It would have been better if would have wrote, something like any personality and not single out the type we usually see on reality shows which cause drama.
The difference between ESPN and a reality show is that ESPN shows real teams, like for Worlds. Those are actual teams who have worked together since March/April/May and practice together all of the time. They're building a team for the show, which isn't a huge deal. But there is a difference.
Anyways, I'm still excited to see what's coming.
