One of the reasons I've always enjoyed going to Cheersport is the amazing sportsmanship shown the entire weekend. Between all the "good lucks" on the escalators to and from warmups (you really wouldn't think one could get tired of hearing it, but by about 6 pm on Sunday, it happens), the teams cheering each other on in warmup and backstage, making friends at awards and everywhere in between. It's so refreshing to see it.

Nice meeting you this weekend

For all the people that were there this weekend, it's amazing that we kept running into each other :)

Probably helped that our teams were warming up together. I didn't see day 2, but day 1 was amazing

Now it's on to watching videos and trying to figure out what we need to do to get our scores up

My favorite part was when people from the south added the y'all to the end of their good luck wishes! Makes me wish I had an accent
Hahaha I'm from Florida, and i say yall... Hahah everybody does, i dont even notice

The Rah All Stars... i don't know where they are from but they are the most terrible people ever! we have a junior coed 3 team and so after they went, another coach and i stayed back to watch the rest of the division. Rah went on and hit there routine day 2. day 1 they got called for a safety violation which had them in 3rd my gyms junior coed in 2nd, and Stingrays in 1st. they went that night and Challenged the Safety violation and got they points back which pushed them to first. day 2 they went after rays and sat on the side of the stage and waited for rays to mess up. as soon and rays dropped that stunt all of the Rah parents and coaches and kids went crazy. i could not believe what i was seeing. like who does that. saying " YESSSS BABY YOUR GOING TO GET A JACKET NOW" to their kid. I was very poor of them.

Wrong, wrong on all levels :(

Umm... So in attempts to bring this thread back to the topic of positive sportsmanship...

I sat and watched just about the entire Special Needs division on Sunday and it was probably the best time I've had at Cheersport in the 2 years I've attended. I know I tweeted this and it got passed around, but they really do put things in perspective. And the standing ovations before/after every routine was just awesome to be a part of.

I had time to watch 5 teams on Sunday. I just stood in the VIP section so I could cheer them all on. This division represents everything good about cheer to me.
