Guys I have one last tour next weekend and then I'll probably decide. So weird.
But does anyone have any tips on finding roommates? I'd rather not get randomly placed without kind of knowing the person first but also want to meet someone new..

well at my university, i got into the suite style rez, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathroom, and a common tv area and kitchen (its amazing), so i got to fill out a roommate application, my cousin came with me so we requested each other but were still required to fill them out for the other 2 people. We didn't even get to find out their names until move in day, but omg we LOVE them, we are all like 4 best friends that are so similar its kinda scary! originally I didn't like not finding out who they were before coming, but now i feel like i may have inappropriately judged them over facebook if i had known!
Just an example of how great it can be to have a new roommate, and a reminder that most people are not how they seem on facebook, a person to person first impression is best!

A lot of people meet at orientation and then request to live with each other. I preferred to do the random thing and it was the best thing I've ever done. My random freshman roommate ended up being my sophomore roomie and 5 years later she's still one of my best friends. It works out for some people, others it doesn't and I think it's kind of luck of the draw. I think now there's a bunch of facebook groups for people being accepted and stuff. I know my cousin found his roommate that way. One thing I will say, is that you have to remember to not only find people you get along with, but people you can live with. Look for similar study habits and cleanliness, etc. That makes a big difference! Good luck with your last tour!

I finally decided on where I'm going! I signed with MNU for cheerleading and I'm so excited about going there next year! It's such a relief to not worry about it anymore!

So the other day I was talking to my parents about visiting some of the east coast schools I've gotten into and they basically told me that we can't afford it. Does anyone have any advice on this situation? I don't want to pick a school blindly but apparently I can't visit.

Where have you gotten into? I know there's a lot of us on the east coast at schools and we could possibly help letting you know about the schools if you'd like..

I applied to a few and so far I've only heard back from one but I got in. It was Miami. I'll post when I hear back from the others.

I chose my school I am at this year after not visiting, and I do not recommend it, I am transferring this year!

So you're saying find a way to visit a school before I choose it?
I would now after this year  I took everyones word that the school and town is beautiful and that I would love it, but turns out it isn't for me. It is too small and cheerleading practically doesn't exist... I am transferring to a school where I know and have been to the town and school, and will have cheerleading! So I'm not saying you have to visit it, but it can be very beneficial!

Thank you! This helps a lot.
Good luck at your new school :)
