Can a team that won a full paid bid for the Summit as a large Jr. 2 enter the comp as a large Jr. 3 instead? Do you have to register for The Summit in the same division for which you won your paid bid?
You have to be in the same division

5 of our 7 teams were awarded at large summit bids this weekend

Small youth 2
Small junior 2
Large junior 3
Large junior 4
Small senior 3

Stars Vipers will not be attending.
:)

okay so my team got a bid to the summit and i just have so many questions i don't want to wait until practice tonight for them to be answered 1. what exactly is "the summit" i know it's only levels 1-4 and at the wide world of sports but nothing else and 2.what does "at large bid" mean because that's what we got.

It's kind of supposed to be like Worlds but for level 1-restricted 5, all age levels. They offer bids so that it's not the typical "nationals" where anyone can come, it's more prestigious. It's a chance for you to compete against some of the best teams, so congrats! :)
At-Large means you can go, but you have to pay comp fees. For Worlds it means you have to compete on Saturday as well as Sunday and Monday, but for the summit I'm not quite sure how it would work.

I've tried to find a complete list of teams that have received paid and at large bids for this event. Does one exist? Is there any guarantee that there will be strong teams to compete against? It's an expensive trip for many parts of the country. What if you get there and there's no other teams in your division (US Finals and All Levels come to mind...though both of these then put your video up against other winners from the other venues) I'm just thinking what if you end up with no competition after spending all that $ to get there (yes, even a paid bid won't cover full costs of a West Coast athlete and then there's family)

So if theres only a certain amount of bids and a team recieves a full-paid and decides to accept it, but then decides not to go but "keeps" the bid, what happens to that bid? Does it just disappear?

We're talking about limits in precalc and one of us makes that reference at least once every class. Usually more than that.
One day last year in precalc I totally pulled a Cady Heron. My teacher was asking us the answer to the question and nobody was listening (It was 1st hour, most of us were half asleep) and I mumbled "the limit does not exist" totally guessing about the answer not even making the Mean Girls connection, and then my teacher was like "Hannah! What was that?" and I was like "The limit does not exist!" It was a great day.

Is there anything on the Summit and crossovers? Is there anything to prevent an athlete from competing at Worlds then the summit?

There should DEF be a crossover rule/limit! You could have an athlete (or WHOLE TEAM for that matter) compete in every age eligible division! That's ridiculous. I'm hoping I missed something and it's in the fine print somewhere.

true, but 1 athlete even 2 ,3 does not make up a whole team or could they be the only factor in a winning routine of good execution. It takes team work of every individual.
