@AndyT_T Yes, she is junior aged but I believe she doesn't compete in SJX anymore. Her family moved away from Raleigh closer to Kville. Doesn't change your point about her age, just letting ya know! :)

But seriously...how do you know everything? The only thing I know about those fameous cheerleaders are their names. And I only know Gabi Butler, Kelsey Rule and some sr. elite athletes. And that's it. Don't even ask me who that red head girl is or who is F5 point flyer because I have no idea.

I had asked this a while ago - it raised a red flag as a concerned parent that she "knew" personal information of so many different athletes from different gyms. She was honest so I will appreciate that, but she gets her information from social media and not from firsthand knowledge, and it is not always accurate.

CEA Coach Sarah answered this on her ask.fm, I know a lot of people do read that! :)

@Nikaa @Leithal Weapon Got it in one, Coach Sarah answered on her ask.fm! I read her ask.fm a lot because it's very insightful to the inner workings of CEA. I swear if half the people on this board read her ask.fm I doubt there would even be a Teal Army! Haha!

I hope I don't give off the impression I know these athletes on a personal level because I assure you I don't! I live about 5000 miles away from all these athletes. I know what they put on their social media accounts because I follow them and that's all. I apologise if you think I am crossing a line, but I can assure you that I don't pry for personal information I purely just know what they have put out there. I suppose I do know more than others but I don't go looking for the information as such.

As it turns out @AndyT_T and I were talking about different people so I guess the info was inaccurate. He was talking about red head tumbler on SSX and SJX and I was talking about red head flyer on SE and SJX last year. Sorry for the confusion Andy.

How do you not know f5 point though!!!

@Jennie , I wish these kids knew how much info people could gather from them off social media. I never thought you had any mal intent with your posts. Now, I'm using this to show my kids how anyone anywhere in the world could get info on them through the internet and apps. Not everyone out there is as innocent as you are.

Exactly, take it how ever you will that I passed on info found on an ask.fm to this site but I cannot stress enough how all the knowledge that I know is just "there" on twitter feeds, instagram feeds and ask.fm. You just have to be scrolling through twitter and you can find out a ridiculous amount of info about people without even intently meaning to.

I always got a little frightened when cheerlebs would post pictures of them in and outside their house. It is NOT hard for someone from the local area to figure out where it is and boom. As much as we all scream that they are all normal kids, I think they need to take extra care.
The account name says 13 year old jamie andries fan and seem completely innocent but you honestly do not know who is behind it. Its good you're educating your kids from a young age :)

and this is my issue with all of this. i hate ask.fm in general, but BlueCat has the CA questions thread here and i like it, so i understand them (CEA/Coach Sarah) have a designated place for people to ask questions so the inquiring minds don't drive them crazy. but anytime an individual is mentioned in the CA thread the response is, "we will not discuss individual athletes." why is she so readily offering up information about individual athletes? especially knowing she has such a large audience. ugh makes me cringe. can there be a mandatory social media safety seminar at worlds for coaches and athletes, please?

Could not agree more. It is unprofessional and unsafe, and is an app that should be discouraged by all adults, particularly coaches and gym owners given the damage the app has done to many children. Her answers regarding the most recent roster moves made me lose all respect. She spun the tale to make one girl look bad. And then you get overzealous fans who take the information and spin it to make it seem like they know everything first hand and regurgitate it here and in other social media forums.

My only negative criticism of this routine and lots of others is this trend that you have to get up in the air and do all sorts of crazy motions and movements. There is so much movement lb's stunt sequence that it doesn't look natural and to me if it isn't looking natural it just looks like they're trying too hard. I just wanna go back to the day when flyers would go up, and do their stunt, maybe an occasional fist pump or a little celebrating if they killed it then double down. Maybe I'm old fashioned but it's just too much for me lol

Brandon Allstars appeared on the news discussing the Champions League and cheerleading :)

Here is a link to some of the footage - Video report from FOX 13 Tampa Bay - FOX 13 News

I could find 2 videos, one titled 750am and another titled 820am. I love the segment where they are talking about proper skill progression through the levels of cheerleading. Very insightful yet simple for the everyday non cheerleading viewer. Kudos to Brandon!

The mom in me FREAKS OUT when I see what some kids post online as far as instagram.

I just happened to be scrolling through some (as the concept of Cheerlebrity is pretty weird to me, still) and one girl on a well known Large Senior Team posted a FULL pic of HER NEW DRIVER'S LICENSE. COMPLETE WITH ADDRESS.

THE MOM IN ME IS LIKE "NOW ANY CREEP IN THE WORLD KNOWS WHERE YOU LIVE!"

Or another (on a well-known L5 Large Coed Team) posted a "Mall shopping day with Insert BFF From Same Team!" pic.

At least 100 people commented underneath "Omg, you're at Mall Name! We're here now!!!!!"

That just freaked me out because any one of those accounts in the comments could be some creeper who knows exactly what mall you're at.

There's a 3rd is titled Charley 850, and they made it sound like there was a 4th which I couldn't find.

Just watched it, thanks!

I mentioned already but I just love how they've set up this piece, showing the proper progression through the levels and not just showcasing a bunch of passes through to double which the majority of viewers are not going to be able to do. It will impress them for sure but as far as getting people to join AS cheer, Brandon and Tampa Bay news have gone about it the right way by showing L1 - L5 skills!
