As someone not even associated with CEA any longer (and therefore not drinking any color kool aid) let me be the first to say I'm impressed with both Jenee and Dylan and how professionally they handled themselves (Gabi too) in that they didn't act one iota as childish as the organization they came from. I think everyone knows there's a LOT more to Jenee's story than was ever told and I have a feeling it's not terribly different than what we saw here.

Well done to the three of you for taking the high road while doing what you needed to do for you. Never saw a single negative comment on social media from any of you.

Thank you Dylan's daddy for coming through with the receipts. I'm sure they're gonna be salty about this, but don't tell someone else's tale and expect them to not give their own story...

How absolutely disgusting and petty of them.

I don't think Tyler came out against them either. But I agree---I love that they're acting better than the adults.

@Obsessive Cheer. Glad you came back and confirmed what a lot of us had suspicions of and at the same time sorry to see it came to the point where you had to respond.

Not sure how I would have handled your situation but believe you are a better man than I am by keeping your silence as long as you have.

**remember kids, don't try this at home**

The rule was mentioned in meeting minutes from a meeting in August. I don't know that they're related.

Out of curiosity, what type of Visa does Dylan have?

Devil's advocate: the wording in that seems as though it was initially intended just for ICU and was expanded to include Worlds at the most recent posting.

He's apparently here on a 12-month visa, not just a visa waiver 90-day deal.

Too right. I just forgot the number and names of everyone who left....which on a team of 20 is a considerable percentage. Lends even more credence to what's been posted here. It might be questionable if Dylan was the only one who left. That's not the case.

Eh, that's not how I read it. I read it as "this is how we do it for ICU, let's do it for IASF as well! Cool! We'll add it to the worlds packet when we release it (which is specific to all start worlds)."

I know he's on a visa, I'm just wondering what type specifically.

I completely understand where the difference comes in. As a veteran parent of the gym you do know that most everybody travel's during the summer.....kids and staff alike.......so you'd notice that it comes off as exaggerated. The traveling doesn't dign your radar because you're used to it. Makes sense.

What we're not privy to is all the discussions between the staff and Dylan's parents as to what he could expect when he came to the US and more specifically Cali Smoed. Dylan's Dad said that what Dylan was led to believe and what actually happened all summer was completely different. We know his Dad know's how to post here so hopefully he'll come along and clear up a few things as well.

edited to say I hate any of this drama concerns your gym Cheermom1969. I like you. I also know how unbelievably difficult it is to see people talk about the gym and people you love........so I'm sending you a hug. (((((Cheermom1969)))))

Coming from you, that means a lot. Thank you. I really don't have a dog in the fight because it's not my team. And I have and will keep quiet with my opinions for the most part. Unless there's wine involved, then all bets are off. ;)
But, yes, it's painful to see some of the mud slung around here about our gym. I also don't wear rose-colored glasses. I see some points but others are, to me, way off base. I guess it's just the nature of a discussion board.
