Interested to see the scores posted. Definitely a few "what.?" Moments at awards.
I totally agree more than a few WHAT!!!!???? moments. Would love to see score sheets, so perplexed at the placements today on how teams with more than 1 stunt fall, tumbling bust, etc. got placements that at any other competition would be down at the bottom and were in the top 3....enough of my misery though. This weekend we were not looked up favorably by the judges.

Any particular divisions? Hard to say whether you have a valid point if you aren't going to be specific!

This was a fun comp! I really enjoyed it!

My ETA home is 4AM. FML.

I heard wide range of feelings on the comp. Some shared your opinion and others did not. Just proves you can't please everyone.

Anyone have trouble getting into VIP seating today when their kids were on?

**Don't be silly, it's only sandbagging when OTHER teams do it.**

I am glad we didn't stay for awards. The roads were pretty bad the closer we got to home. Drive safely and congratulations on your bid!

We were given the all clear to go after we competed, but all 24 of us decided to stay. But we competed late, and were in line for a bid.

Thank you! Hopefully they're not too bad. If nothing else, the roads will keep us wide awake!

I overheard a coach talking about how technique scoring was particularly harsh. She said that they scored so badly on jumps that they might as well have had a deduction for fall to floor. I don't know what division her team was in, but possible explanation?

i believe my CPs' team scored low in technique on one part of the scoresheet as well. I don't necessarily think that is a bad thing. I also think they rewarded difficulty at this competition.

The team all of the moms picked to win our division didn't do well at all. Hard to post mortem without video of everyone Hitting definitely didn't guarantee a good placement this weekend.

VIP area was a mess. There was no seating, mat was on floor and VIP area was standing room. There was a red carpet coming off of the mat into the VIP area which had the VIP area broken into two sections. Of course you were only allowed to stand in the left section for whatever reason - so any team that had more than 10 people in VIP someone wasn't going to be able to see them. I asked multiple times about allowing us to stand on the other side -which was WIDE open - and was repeatedly told no. This was especially troublesome if you have a large team with lots of parents/family, or a large program that supports each other.

Also worth mentioning, my CP told me warm ups were a mess and completely unorganized and she said everyone in warm ups was rude (not other athletes but the staff of Boardwalk Hall). She particularly didn't have nice things to say about the lady at the curtain going on stage. But my kid is a goof ball and we had a puker before us so there was extra time they were standing back there, so I'm sure my kid was acting a fool.

I wish comps would always post scores, not just rankings. I trust that our coaches are doing their jobs and reviewing the scoresheet to make sure we were scored fairly but sometimes I just want to see how far we are score wise from other teams.

I have learned over the years that level of difficulty can trump a SB or TB. I have a friend who's CP is at a diff gym and last competition they hit their routine both days and had zero deductions and still came in 5th place. Their routine just isn't hitting the score sheet for their level so they aren't placing well.
