All-Star 2016-2017 Cheer Music

WCSS: I wouldn't be mad if they ended up having Footloose or CELL BLOCK TANGO in their music!!! (I would love for them to have it, even if it wasn't for dance...though I would love for them to KILL IT for a dance again!) Otherwise, I'm hoping I'll like it more once I see it with the routine.

Quick question about the music rules, because I noticed a pop warner team near me actually has justin beiber and john legend in their music in their competition routine. And I was bit thrown off because i thought you couldnt have real music at all .. but apparently you can if:

"If you choose to use a single song in your routine, you may bring a legally purchased (from iTunes, Amazon, etc.) copy of that recording to be used at the applicable event. Teams may not re-mix these recordings in any way (such as adding sound effects, changing tempo or mixing with any other recordings), but you may make minor edits for timing purposes only (for example, removing a chorus or bridge to fit the duration of the team’s performance)."

so basically u can use real music if you purchase it legally and do not edit it?

Correct, single song that you bought and didn't edit or alter. Cannot be played alongside other tracks.

That's what all of our Pop Warner teams have this season...

Covers are allowed provided they are properly licensed. I thought unleashthebeats and power music were the only 2 who were licensed to do them, but I could be wrong.

It's a miss for me. I have big expectations now for the choreo.

As for the track, someone described it as flat, and that's the best way to put it. There isn't enough depth. I think some bass beats behind it, with some layered voices and instruments would go along way. It just needs more.

I really wanted to love it or at least like it but I just don't see how it will have the same feel as the Jersey Girls theme or the Gaga which we love and listen to all the time. I just don't like the tango and waltz sections

I'm not sure about Cheer Sounds exactly. But certain licensed covers can be used to be edited and mixed.

I think you will appreciate it when you see the routine with the music. I know I was very unsure myself but with the routine its really pretty good!
