Someone in the allstar page suggested this, pantherscheer2010 and well its brilliant.

here are just SOME of mine, (some from the allstar version of this)

    - NEVER tell me to be louder, i will hate you.
    - I hate our crowd. dont even get me started on how angry they make me.
    - I hate certain varsity girls that look down at us jv girls, even me. and i was on varsity with her!
    - i refuse to warm up. i dont want to. i wont.
    - dont you dare wear your skirt over warmup pants. That is so not fetch.
    - fronting sucks. why do you need a front in a freaking HALF.

just a few for now :)

-IF YOUR SKIRT IS TOO SHORT I EXPECT YOU TO GET A NEW SKIRT. We rent them. Dont get it hemmed to show everything. I don't want to see your butt and I WILL tell you to pull it down and if it won't go down I will go to the cheer closet and get you a new one. I would rather it be too big than see your butt. Not sorry.
-I feel like high school cheer this season has been a waste of my time. We hardly do stunts, we don't tumble, and at practice we only do cheers. It's boring and I haven't learned anything.
    -I hate basketball season.
... I'll probably think of more. But that's all for now.

From a parent of a cheerleader perspective and a used to be a cheerleader (old school kind). And sometimes I don't just confess these on a forum, I say them out loud :)

    - you are a cheerleader for goodness sakes, you better be louder than me..and I'm pretty loud
    - if the cheerleaders aren't having fun, what makes you think the crowd will
    - front spot is the excuse for not having anything else for them to do and not enough people to throw up another stunt. lame.
    - you want to be considered an athlete - act like one...practice, practice, stretch, be your best, don't just be
    - I used to not like basketball, but went to watch my daughter cheer. Now I don't go to watch my daughter cheer, I go to watch basketball
    - Cheer for girls basketball is the dumbest thing on the planet. They don't want them there and they don't want to be there
    - I get angry when cheerleaders lean on the wall at basketball games. Stand up, be loud and cheer those players on...again..your job :)
    - And last, but not the only confessions, cheerleaders who don't know the rules and can't call the correct cheer at the right time, deserve to be cut.

-One of the major reasons I do high school instead of allstar is because of my obsession with football. I love everything about it. I love being apart of it, I love being in the know about everything they do, I love being able to get a front row (hypothetical) seat to the game. I get to stand there and listen to the coaches talk to the players and talk about plays and strategies and hear them either get congratulated or completely cussed out. I love it so much.
-I will never say the words to our fight song during football season. No matter how much our coaches make us run because of it. Theres no way the crowd can hear us over the band and we look silly mouthing the words. I'd rather just smile.
    - I could go my entire life without ever cheering a basketball game again.
-I adore our student section and I feel so lucky that we get the support that we do. They're almost always there crazy as can be and they always respond to us.
-I wish high school cheerleaders got more support from allstar cheerleaders. We compete too. Just as hard as they do.

I hate team texts. They blow up my phone and kill my battery. If someone asks a question, all 21 of you don't have to reply!!!

My coach gets paid for sitting on her butt on the gym floor eating cheetohs while we teach JV and freshmen all the cheers.

I graduated a couple of years ago but I still remember football season like it was yesterday...

    - I absolutely HATED doing cheers during practice after the first two weeks of the season. If you do not know the cheers after that... get out.
    - When girls dropped their flyer I was that girl that called them out for being the reason we all had to run laps. There are no excuses for her to hit the mat.
    - If you were one of the weaker girls on the team and you cheated on conditioning or questioned having to do it, I would give you sass the entire practice. Double the sass if you were a freshman. Tell me it's hazing. I don't care.
    - I always acted really modest when people would tell me I was the strongest base on the team or that they loved having me base them, but inside I knew I was good and it was what I was proudest of myself for because I worked really, really hard at it.
    - I really regret those practices when I was in a bad mood or just wanted to leave because now that I'm done cheering I'd give anything to have just one more practice with my old team.
    - I went along with it when my coach would make fun of some of our outdated cheers that our old coach kept around for so long, but secretly I loved them and I'd cheer my loudest during those ones at games.
    - It kills me to think that I always got so close to getting my backhandspring and injuries that could have been prevented are what got in the way.
    - If you were tired when we got to the pyramid and didn't fight for it to hit, or didn't feel like working it out during the dance, even if it was just during practice, you were on my list for the next week at least.
    - I hate that our coach didn't let us experiment with harder stunts that we knew we could hit because she wanted to keep our routine clean. It made me feel like she didn't believe in us.
    - Friday night football games were my absolute favorite things in the entire world, and sometimes I still cry because of how much I miss them, and I can't even listen to Boys of Fall without getting teary. I go back sometimes now to watch games, and it's just not the same because the fans are not into it at all like I remember it being, and that makes me so sad.

Okay here's my list as a former cheerleader
-don't sit in the stands, stare at me while I'm asking you to yell and you look at me with a dumbfounded look on your face. It's not hard to follow directions and at least I'm asking you to yell appropriate words unlike the ones you were just yelling.
-Football, always my favorite thing to cheer for. Nothing like yelling hit em again hit em again and not getting in trouble for it. :)
-don't act like you want to cheer then walk away from the coach and say this is stupid or anything along those lines.
-cheerleading is not social hour, it's cheerleading. WORK hard, play later

Now here is my list as a coach:
-don't take the lack of crowd involvement your opportunity to be lazy and quit cheering hard. It's your job to be happy, peppy, and spirited, you can't control your fans.
-if you don't want to practice hard then save me the trouble and don't try out next year. None of the other cheerleaders like you because you are a slacker.
-do not lean against the gym wall, talk to the person next to you, talk to fans in the stands, or pop one knee out with your hands folded across your chest when you are supposed to be cheering at a basketball game.
-when I say run, I mean until I tell you to stop, don't ask for how long cause I'll only make you run more.
-bases, if you think it's funny to drop your flyer then do me a favor and don't try out. Just once I would like to base you and let you drop to see how it feels.
-flyers, if you think it's funny to hurt one of your bases because you are not tight on a stunt or because you are not paying attention then don't try out. They have a hard job and your life is in their hands, can't blame them for wanting to drop you when you are too lazy to do your job causing them pain.
-fellow coaches, just because you are not a competition squad does not mean that you allow your squad to not follow safety rules. Rules are for everyone not just those of us that compete.
-fellow coaches, i don't care if you have a cheerleader out sick, you never go out on the floor yourself and base or spot a stunt. Seriously, if you miss cheer that much then find a parent squad to join.
-fellow cheerleaders, friendliness goes along way. Don't be hateful to other team cheerleaders, be supportive and kind. You never know when friendship with another squad will benefit you.
-cheer parents, I AM THE COACH. I AM TRAINED TO DO MY JOB. I do not need your input from the sideline of why your little suzie should be in front, get to fly, or why or why not we should be doing competitions/cheers/etc. I follow the rules and your daughters safety is always my number one concern, this is why I have had a cracked collar bone, broken nose, and more bruises than I can count instead of it being your daughter's leg, arm, face, etc.
-cheer parents, don't inable your slacker child and tell me not to push your daughter hard at practices or games. If they can't handle it then don't let them try out.
-cheerleaders/parents, birthday parties, concerts, and social functions are not reason for not coming to practice. Get your priorities straight.

I could come up with so many more, but I'll save them for later.

ahhh yay thank you Sophie for starting this thread! it's defs my new favorite :shimmy: (i just had to use the shimmy. don't worry about it)

i held back a ton with my confessions in the other thread because i didn't want to go too crazy since i know it was more for allstar, but now that i have this one, here we go! confessions of a retired high school cheerleader :)

-i first decided i wanted to be a cheerleader when i was six, but because my dad doesn't like cheer/didn't take me seriously, i didn't get a chance to cheer until high school.
-i have social anxiety--not "i get nervous when i have to perform" anxiety, but actual doctor-diagnosed, prescription-meds, exemption from certain assignments anxiety (i never take advantage of the assignments thing cause i think it just makes it worse when i avoid it, but that's not the point). i get nervous ordering at a restaurant i haven't been to before. i'm like the least logical choice ever for a person who would want to be a cheerleader, let alone a person who would enjoy being a cheerleader.
-i'm REALLY slow to pick up choreography. i got better at it the more i cheered, but it was always so hard for me to learn something and be expected to perform it perfectly by the end of practice.
-i was supposed to try out for cheer my freshman year of high school, but i panicked at the last minute and then spent all year regretting it.
-i HATED when girls on my team didn't know anything about football or basketball and didn't bother trying to learn. i'm not saying you have to be the team's biggest fan, but you should understand what's going on in the game so you can encourage the boys the right way.
-one of the girls on the team bullied me for years and would blame me for everything that went wrong in our stunts. i didn't get the courage to stand up to her until halfway through senior year.
-my coach sophomore and junior year was really hard on us, but she also made sure we had great technique and pushed us to get better and do creative routines. i felt like the coach i had senior year didn't take our team seriously just because we weren't a top ten worlds team.
-my parents came to maybe two games in three years of me cheering, and one of those was after i cried and begged them to come to my last game ever. my dad also never came to watch me perform in rallies, even though he was a teacher at my high school. he went to all my brothers's soccer games.
-i knew things about our assistant coach senior year that should have gotten her fired, but i kept my mouth shut because at least she tried to push us.
-you might not be excited about being a front spot, but that's not an excuse to just rest your hands on the stunt and not do anything. when i front, i'm doing everything i can to get underneath the stunt and give the bases as much support as i can. if you aren't going to help, get out of the way.
-i know at least one of my former coaches is on the boards, so i'm scared to say too much
-senior year we let the star quarterback hang out at one of our practices. suddenly all the freshmen who were being lazy in the back of the routine started working a lot harder during the dance

-you got a tiny slap, stop crying and get your butt back to work
-take ownership of your mistakes, stop blaming other people
-instead of always asking what to wear to a game, why don't you just look at the calendar that you got?!?!?!
    And last but my least
-if you asked me for a ride to a game BE READY WHEN I TOLD YOU I WOULD BE THERE!!! Don't make me late just because you thought you needed a little bit more blush.

I have a few more, since we had an all day practice today and have a girl on my team whos been lying non-stop

    - If you lie to me, i will find out, AND i will tell the coach things about you. p.s. dont tell people you smoke weed, or ditch a game while suspended to see a movie.
    - I hate teaching 180 toe touches with girls who complain about them being "too hard" Just try it.
    - Don't talk down to me ever. I will never be nice or respect you again, sorry not sorry.
    - I like showing off before games, when people (sad to admit, but the really cute guy ive kinda been admiring, or our jv boys) are playing basketball or watching us practice.
    - I make comments about the other team, always.
    - If youre a ref, and keep standing in front of me, im not to blame for injuries while im cheering.
    - dear coaches, please dont promise pizza then dont go through with it during all day practice.
    - I may or may not always look ratchet at practice

I must stop for now, before this turns into a rant about how annoyed i am....
