She's not actually transgendered, Conchita is a drag act/alter ego. I'm really glad she won, to me she was one of the few acts that stood out
Apologies, I thought she was

Imagine worlds but with singers/bands. And everyone gets to vote for their favorite team.
Don't think we get Eurovision in the USA but have seen some of it before. That is how I learned of lordi.Europe people - who's watching Eurovision 2014?
I honestly just watch it now for Graham Norton's commentary, I feel like he is the UK's little secret and I absolutely adore him.
How does a country choose its band and singers?Imagine worlds but with singers/bands. And everyone gets to vote for their favorite team.
I believe the country has their own singing contest and whoever wins that represents them at Eurovision. I used to like a Swedish pop star and she competed twice but didn't win in order to advance. Other countries might pick a different way.How does a country choose its band and singers?
Does anyone have any advice on being a step parent? My fiancé has an eight year old son. He doesn't dislike me, and he's not flat out rude, but does small, unintentional things that make me feel unwelcome. It's not affecting the relationship but it makes me really uncomfortable and quite frankly, it makes me angry and I don't know what to do.
For example, my fiancé and his son are sitting on the couch right now, and his son has his toys spread out over the entire couch so I can't also sit there. I can't move them, and my fiancé doesn't back me up because he doesn't realize it's happening. I'm so annoyed right now ugh.

you can always keep tumbling and working and try out next year!

Oh definitely. My parents divorced when I was around 12, and I had some rocky years as a teenager as a result of that. I know the feeling all too well. It's actually a double divorce situation, and I went through the exact same thing. I totally get it. I just want to help make it not so difficult on him.Assuming this is a divorce situation:
Coming from someone who has a step parent, the child is probably angry with you. It's nothing you did wrong. They aren't trying to hurt you. But they want their parents back together. My dad has been married to my step mom for almost 9 years. My parents have been separated/divorced since I was 9. So nearly 12 years. I still struggle with their divorce. I resented my stepmom for a long time, until I was about 19 actually.
Please just realize this isn't your fault. It isn't the child's fault either, so don't blame them. It's a sucky situation for everyone, and it's hard to adapt.
