There is a authentic gyro place at the main train station that we always eat at. If I had to guess what manna (food from God) tasted like, that would be it! When the cucumber sauce runs down your arm. Smh
Well if you ever come to Mexico you have to try real tacos not that Taco Bell kind of "tacos", we don't eat those haha the real tacos are in a soft not crunchy tortilla, and they don't have lots of lettuce and avocado and cheese, you have to try real tacos they're the best.
In the north we have cabrito which is goatling also we eat lots of carne asada.
If you ever go to cancun you HAVE to go to puerto madero, it's actually an Argentinian restaurant but they have the best seafood ever lol
There's also gorditas, burritos, tamales and nieve de garrafa
About chick fil a we don't have any here so I only eat chick fil a about four times a year haha it's sad and a real struggle

You can try the vinegar based sauce or the tomato based sauce or the mustard based sauce or the white sauce. Very different but all good.
.

Wawa
Porkroll, egg and cheese
Jose Tejas
Jimmy Buff's
a million diners to choose from
In Maine everyone and their mother drinks Alan's Coffee Brandy. It's only sold in NH, Vermont, Maine area. If you're over 21 and go up here you gotta try it out it's very popular. Also the whoopie pies in Maine are yummmmmy, lobster of course and fresh blueberries. A little chinese restaurant in my town makes the BEST crab rangoons I've ever tasted. So happy that it's in my town haha.
There is a new burger joint in a city near me called 5 Guys is this a common thing everywhere? I've never heard of it till they came to Bangor. Anyway, if you love spicy try the cajun fries.
Oh when I went to Florida we ate at this restaurant called Bahama Breeze. It's kinda like a tropical Applebee's. SO GOOD.
If you're in Chicago....
Italian Beef sandwich (dipped! Gotta get it dipped)
Chicago Style Hot Dog (all beef hot dog, onions, relish, tomato, pickle, celery salt and mustard - no ketchup under any circumstances!)
Chicago Style Pizza (Lou Malnati's is my personal fave!)
OMG visited Chicago for the first time and totally agree about the Italian Beef and the Pizza! and I'm a New Yorker that's pretty hard to please!
Love me some Chi Town grub!!
To much food in NY to mention it all but I will say authentic pastrami on rye from a good Jewish Deli is like no other thing you have ever eaten!
also good pizza and bagels are a staple. I also like that there are so many different ethnic foods that you can try o many different things and not get bored.

I know I'm posting soooo much on this thread, but I'm sorry, I really love food... :wasntme:Five Guys is amazing! I know they have it in most places in Florida. I believe it's also all over the US. Here's a store list by state from their website: Store List by State | Five Guys Burgers and Fries
Definetley fish and chips... as an American couldn't do the mushy peas or vinegar, but hey I now make "chip butties" (French fries on a buttered roll) dipped in gravy! yum yumEwww I hate Nandos . I'm not sure it's traditional English food either. Give me a nice roast dinner with yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes any day.
And real British Fish and Chips with proper big chunky chips. And mushy peas.
