I'm not saying that and I'm not sure the others are either. For every division I saw, the team that should have won did. It's all those other places down the line that made me scratch my head. I don't even agree with my own scores, thought our stunt difficulty score should have been higher and our performance scores lower. There were two deductions I would have given us, that they didn't. It is what it is. I thought our placement was dead on and we were very happy with it. Not trying to point fingers at any teams, all anyone can do is their best and then its up to the judges. I however don't always agree that the judges see what we do. I think they need to start judging more on what is done rather than what is being attempted. I think with a lot of the train wrecks they give them too much benefit of the doubt. Just my opinions after many many years of sitting and watching lots of divisions.Well, I have no room to talk, because we were NOT the smoothest sailing boat on the sea out there... I'm sorry, but we all subject ourselves to "right" or "wrong"..."unfair" or "fair" opinions of others when we throw our hats in the ring. Theres not one team that won that I didn't think didn't "didn't deserve it'
I must add that I really feel for the staff sitting at the deductions table where your pick up scoresheets. I saw those poor people get yelled at over and over when they had nothing to do with anything. There are quite a few coaches with appalling behavior that seem to think UCA owes them something bc of who they are or the team they coach. You couldn't pay me all the money in the world to sit at that table and do that job!
