As harsh as this sounds, your manager probably won't care about you leaving based on what you said. But it's important to leave in a professional manner.

This.

My mom always tells me that you have to look out for yourself because no one else will. It may be an awkward situation, but you don't owe AE anything. Do what's best for you!

....Aaaaand, this.

@cheerbear I've been on both sides of this equation, and they really won't care. They'll think it's nice you even bothered telling them, since 99% of people in your shoes wouldn't (which is super annoying, and as a manager I DO care about that, so don't do it that way lol!)

So I chose to be an adult today and quit my cheer team. I am gutted as I loved the team but I simply couldn't afford it and I couldn't become a better athlete as all the opportunities they give I couldnt do as they were too far away.
I was doing 2 teams because I could not justify travelling 180 miles round trip for 90 mins of training once a week so instead had 3 and a half hours which I loved but the gym has a policy that you do not pay less for your second team so I got priced out as I also do dance. I chose to quit now as I know I can afford it now but might not be able to in a few months time and they are starting putting people in positions next week

I am looking for coaching stuff and going to commit more to dance but boy it does hurt as I liked that gym

You also missed Nicki go off on Miley as well then

I also don't think Kanye West will be with us much longer...and if he isn't that is all the proof I need to confirm that the illuminati exists.

Thank you! I will let them know at AE asap, just going to wait until I have all the paperwork done from DSW just to ensure its all set in stone.

Hey, what are some colleges sponsored by Adidas and the cheer program gets free items and such? My school (D1) recently switched to Adidas and my coach is meeting with the assistant AD to discuss if we get anything and she would would like to bring up points on how other D1 cheer teams get free items ( like how all the athletic teams on campus would). We didn't get anything from Nike so our coach wants to just see if we can get anything from this Nike deal. If possible, are there any none competing team with this?

I know both Wisconsin and Kanas do, just not sure on the specifics.

We had Adidas when I was at UMass. What we got wasn't very consistent year over year, but we got sneakers and maybe a sports bra. I'm not sure if those were free from Adidas or if the Athletics marketing department (we were under them) paid for it. We had Adidas warmups but we paid for those.

@cheerbear, congrats and bottom line is, you always look out for #1-YOU! However, we live in a small world and when you solidify everything with DSW, be very professional with the AE hiring Manager and briefly explain that you were offered another job closer to your home and offered more money and thank them for the opportunity to work for their company. (I know, brown nosing and schmoozing, a little)
I know as an once hiring manager, how an applicant leaves a job makes a big impression and you might find yourself being offer more or able to negotiate for more... Good Luck!

That stinks but good choice doing it now before positions and choreography is done.

**Sometimes I day dream Cheer Son is almost as good as Susie and then reality sets in**

DH has a student account and his benefits page lists unlimited streaming video, but he's had the account for about 2.5 years - I'm not sure if new accounts have the same benefits.

ETA: from the join Amazon Student page:
