Our uniforms are varsity and cost £173 which I think is about $260. That's the most I've ever spent on a uniform so hoping it's awesome when it arrives. It's also one of those sports bra over long sleeves type ones that cea have just debuted and I am even more excited after seeing those :)

@crazzyeyesassypants, I remembered last year, paying about $160 for 3 practice wear and about $45 for 3 matching bows. It was mandatory to purchase the practice wear, but my daughter's team practice 3x per week and had designated days when to wear each practice wear... My daughter's team got a lot wear out of their practice wear, they even wore them when they practice together at 2 day events..
Furthermore, I think, I paid $380+ $25 for uniform and bow...I was happy with the quality of the practice wear and especially, the uniform and I totally loved the bow...

Large program. $450 for uniform (included 2 uniform shorts and 1 highly blinged top) which was worn NCA- Worlds (on day 2 of 2 day comps). Yeah, I did the math. Thinking I should wear it as a Halloween costume tomorrow night just to get a little more "value" and save myself from a run to find a witch hat! Lol

med-large program - level 1 team (each team has different uniforms, but they try to keep the cost down for the lower levels) $280 uniform, 30 comp bow, $218 for practice wear (three sports bras, three shorts, 2 tanks and 3 practice bows)

Free!? Wow! Are you sure it's free? Maybe they are adding it in the monthly tuition fee somewhere.

Not sure if the practice wear really was free as part of the deal with Rebel or if the gym sort of absorbed it or added it onto the monthly fees. But both our monthly fees and comp fees are very reasonable and there are no other extras.

We don't have specific practice wear. Gym tries to keep cost down. Thankful for that. My cp has some pretty sports bras with bling that she wears sometimes (that she won. I did not buy lol). But if it has bling on the sides she won't wear it. She once wore a pair of GK velvet shorts with rhinestones down the sides and one of her bases said it scratched her arms. So my kid refuses to wear stuff with bling on the sides. So I ask the question why are we blinging out practice wear? Yeah I know they take chances on getting scratched on the blinged out uniforms but the practice wear is pretty much daily or at least several times a week while uniforms are worn maybe ten times a year. Why are we subjecting bases/backspots to scratches from rhinestone practice wear?

For the same reason uniforms are being designed with no consideration of larger chested girls and how they can feasibly wear a real, supportive bra underneath.

"Because it looks nice."

We need a picture for the smiley section ;p

Weird that her bases had an issue with those practice shorts. We had those same ones for practice when I was cheering and my bases never said anything, but maybe we were just lucky to be able to avoid the scratching. Or maybe gk has changed the rhinestone type since then considering that was six years ago [emoji15]

Sorry to change the subject. This is my CPs uni this year. We are supposed to be getting a crossover piece to cover the mid section. No idea how it's going to work. The back is mostly open with the xman in the middle. Any thoughts?? I'm just curious.

I actually really, really like this. one of the best uniforms I've seen out of CEA! the only thing I would change is making the font a tiny bit smaller. It's just a little big imo

I am familiar with some HIGH SCHOOL CHEER PROGRAMS with apparel fees that rival what some of you all are posting.

These are typically the schools that allow the STUDENTS (usually senior cheerleaders) to CHOOSE uniforms, practice wear, bows, etc.

Because only a 16-year-old would decide that a team needs (for example) a custom bow to match each set of practice wear.

I could probably win a gold medal for keeping school camp wear/practice wear costs down. For example, if it cannot be re-worn as practice wear or appearance wear (i.e. it is a random color and not a school color.), we aren't getting it.

That, and I firmly believe in solid school-colored bows that can be reworn for pretty much anything.

Yikes. In high school out practice wear was around $60 for 3 shirts, 3 pairs of soffees and 3 practice ribbons. All of JV and varsity got these. We also got team specific t-shirts, sweatshirts, and long sleeves for varsity. If I had to guess the price of those 3 pieces I'd say around $45-50. Then for nationals we got a team t-shirt, WI State shirt, and a Yoga jacket (if you didn't already have one from the year before). This was maybe around $45.

We could chose to fundraise (car washes) for the practice stuff (the $60 stuff) and then we had a fundraiser for nationals (held a competition) that covered the cost of the trip and our nationals apparel.

As for people picking things out. We were all allowed to submit designs for the general practice stuff and vote on it, and then the captains usually designed the nationals team shirt.
