I like this, was thinking something similar. Maybe different criteria like either you have to win in a division with at least 3 teams or score in the top 3 in your level or age.

This is off topic but your comment about "a division with at least 3 teams" reminded me . This weekend at awards for the first time ever I heard an announcer say 'and the winner of level xyz, performing with no competition is..."

Yeah but worlds bids to only senior 5 and 6, summit has to cover youth junior and senior and 5 levels
Yes, I was just responding to someone who said that there were more worlds bids available quantity wise than summit, not percentage of the divisions.

Ahh. Yeah nope. ;)
I wish I had time to go through and list out all the Summit division teams that compete at Summit bid events throughout the season like I've been doing for Worlds. I think it would be very interesting to see the numbers, like the percentage of each division/level that get bids and how many total teams there are.

Project for a rainy day lol

I will say this. I've cheered all star in the PNW for 6 years now, and I have NEVER seen this many teams go to summit from our area. We're currently sending 68 teams to summit from WA, OR, ID, and BC, with 2 bid competitions in this area left. I definitely think INTL bids need to be dispersed better, many comps we've gone to have had more bids than teams competing for them.

Has their ever been discussion about a season rule about more than 5 Worlds athletes on a team? Tired of seeing tryouts in March for multiple teams in 1 gym..... if u can only cross over 5 for Summit then u should only get the bid with 5. But beating the system to get bids is what it's all about!

I think the other issue along with Worlds athletes is that the limit is an athlete can be on 3 teams during the season, but then are limited to 2 teams at Summit. So gyms would have to work around that too if needed. I don't get why gyms don't just do it from the start if they plan on trying to get Summit bids.

That would make too much sense!

I don't know the answer to your question, but bald spots from cheer hair upsets me. I really wish all cheer hair was a simple high pony tail (No teasing) or panthers current hairstyle. Cheer hair should not be damaging to their hair.
What is the Panther’s current hair style?

No teasing or poof

We have the fake pony which I am ok with since it is so easy to do. I would love just a high straight pony with a bow! Although the hair above looks cute...I literally cannot braid like that so it would be a miserable fail. Also...it doesn’t look at all “cheerleadery” to me...I feel a bow is necessary. Otherwise it looks like a dance team (to me.) Super cute, though!

My CP team is simple high pony. She never teased it anyway as she's a cosmetologist and knew how bad it was for her hair!
