I knew Bama wouldn't win this year.......it was just too much with having the BCS Championship game last week. The team was busy with all of the travel and events leading up to the game (there are appearances and pep rallys leading up to the bowl games). Then they had to travel. That's lots of time lost. While they were doing that UK and UCF were busy having two a days for their Nationals routine.

Me and cheerKT watched Alabama's Semi round the other day and both said the same thing. We felt Bama was just messy. They didn't 'hit' there skills like Kentucky, and you can tell. Kentucky was more of do the stunt and it was bam hit, while Bama was do the stunt, wobble a little then hit. I think that was the major difference in the two.

Bama's routine was amazing, but I feel like if they had more time they would have been able to perfect it more then they did. Yet you can't blame them for not having the time to practice because of games. That just comes with being a cheerleader for a school with a great football program or any amazing sport program, you gotta balance it all out.

Either way, congrats to Kentucky and Bama on amazing routines.

Agreed, you knew UK wanted it. I do think the games effected their performance, but the finals video looked better than I had expected it to. And after watching all the finals videos and seeing the falls and such, I can see why Alabama walked away with second. I just wish UCF had executed better and got second, their routine was awesome.

Now my question is (to anyone), how did Memphis and UCF beat Tennessee? Is a bobble a bobble or does it matter how dramatic it is? Because I saw 3 flaws in UT's routine - the obvious bobble at the end, the pulling on different counts in the swedish falls, and a very minor one at about :40-:45 on the right side of the pyramid. I wouldn't think the last two would be major deductions, I thought it was an overall cleaner routine than Memphis at least.
All of these three routines were awesome, I'm honestly just curious on how scoring works!

Tennessee has a lot of potential they need to work on their tosses though. I think a lot of teams need to execute better. A lot of teams looked shaky and sloppy. If all the top five teams executed their routine with confidence this would be a much closer competition!

Seeing the videos I agree with the placements 100%. Alabama's routine had the difficulty that UCF didn't have.

I wish that I could have been there because the one time I went to UCA and got to see Kentucky hit their routine was probably my favorite moment in cheer ever. Seeing them in person hit their stunts can give a person chills.

Glad that UCA is modernizing a little every year. The stunts are becoming less traditional and the music is 10x better. Plus I love that the teams are adding more tumbling into their routines. Seeing those big stunters tumble is always interesting to see.

Alabama wasn't the only squad that had to deal with the BCS Championship Game. LSU had the very same experience as well.

Tennessee had a great routine but they didn't have the difficulty that the other teams had. Their baskets were no where close to the other schools, their pryamids didn't have a ton of difficulty, and their stunts didn't compare at all to the others. While Memphis and UCF had issues they had the difficulty to push them ahead of Tennessee.

No one had LSU as a contender for the title like they did Alabama. They had a rough day yesterday as well.
